    Son of Eddie Gutierrez and Annabelle Rama joins PBA draft:

    "It takes Gutz to join the PBA draft?

    The youngest child of Eddie Gutierrez and Annabelle Rama has thrown his hat into the ring of those looking to join the professional league, according to the list released be the league on Wednesday.

    Ritchie Paul Rama Gutierrez, who listed himself as a 6-foot-1 guard from De La Salle University, was among the 95 applicants on the PBA's official list."

    Wala na. Babuyan na sa pba. Itong si pacyou, basta matangkad, marunong magdribble, draft. Ito namang kia tanga. Basta ata gusto ni pacyou, kukunin naman.

    Dapat to, ma-KO ni algieri eh. Maalog yung utak. Matauhan......

    dapat may screening din..

    yung iba nga varsity players hindi na dra draft.. sino naman mag dra draft dyan sa anak ni Anabel? ni hindi nga yata naging varsity yan..

    maganda nyan may ibang team mag draft kay pacman.. kagulo yan! hahahahaha

    Chris Banchero stood out as the most impressive neophyte in Day 1 of the 2014 Gatorade PBA Draft Combine when he topped all five categories in the skills test Monday at the Gatorade Hoops Center in Mandaluyong City.

    The 6-foot-1 guard recorded 8.33 seconds in the lane agility drill, 16.87 seconds in the shuttle run test, 2.91 seconds in the 3/4 court sprint, and jumped 33.73 inches in the standing vertical leap and 68.32 inches in the maximum vertical leap.

    “I’ve been working hard ever since I started in the D-League,” said Banchero. “I’ve been focusing on my diet and in my training every day. I’ve been very disciplined and I’ve been looking forward to the PBA, that’s why.”

    The campers were divided into four teams, where two teams fought in 15-minute halves.

    Rocky Acidre recorded 11 points and two assists in Team A’s 44-26 win over Team B. Juneric Baloria added nine markers, four rebounds, and three assists. Gab Banal topped Team B with his seven points.

    In the second game, Roider Cabrera shot 3-of-8 from threes to finish with 11 points as he led Team C to a 36-29 victory over Team D.

    Kevin Alas went scoreless for Team D, but he said, “Di naman sa hindi pumukpok pero my focus today is more on passing,” as he dished five assists in the loss.

    San Beda forward Rome dela Rosa exited the Combine early after suffering a pulled hamstring while doing the drills.

    Coach Bong Ramos and Bai Cristobal headed the two-day Rookie Camp.

    Bakit pnayagan ng PBA yan hinde mag attend ng rookie camp? Parang before meron munition hinde makasama sa draft pick na rookie dahil hinde nag attend ng camp...

    Nag dahilan lang yan para hinde mapahiya, ma exposed na walang basketball skills sa rookie camp

    Akala ko ba walang special treatment?

    pinapayagan daw pag valid ang reason.. in the past mga NCAA and UAAP players daw na exempt din sa camp kasi may practice.. yun ang sabi nang PBA..

    That's different dahil meron pa silang "mother teams" saka conflict sa schedule nga college basketball season.

    Eh ito wala naman ginagawa eh, bakit pag mga commercials or extra curricular activities na schedule nila alam na naman nila schedule ng camp eh...palusot ng yun dahil ma exposed siya na walang karapatan masala sa draft.

    Dahil makikita talaga yun kagaguhan kung meron low prospect na rookie pero mas maganda and performance sa camp kesa kay packy tapos hinde na draft pero si,packy kukunin...eh di ma obvious na talaga PBA..as if hinde pa obvious

    sayang di ni-require mag participate sa rookie camp si coach packer.

    pero kahit naman sumipot yan at nagkalat wala lang din. hot commodity super prospect parin yan para sa kia.

    “We are open to everything. We will use that pick well—including the chance of drafting Manny Pacquiao,” said Guiao in a serious tone.

    He explained that should the team drafts Pacquiao, Rain or Shine would do so only to build on the future.

    “We will get Pacquiao and not look at it as a wasted (second overall) pick because we will trade him to KIA for their first-round pick (next season, which could likely be the first overall).”
