Fuming Black keeps mouth shut: 'I don't wanna give the commissioner any money'

Norman Black gave a short but loaded interview after Meralco's Game 7 loss. Jerome Ascano
BOCAUE – Meralco coach Norman Black granted a short, yet loaded interview that summed up his thoughts on Game Seven of the PBA Governors’ Cup Finals on Friday after Meralco fell short not just in the game, 101-96, but also in their bid for payback in their finals rematch.
While not taking anything away from the Gin Kings, Black lamented how the game was “governed” that factored in their loss.
“First of all, congratulations to Ginebra and coach Tim. Other than that, I don't really have any comments,” Black said. “I wasn't very happy with the way the game was governed tonight and I don't wanna give the commissioner any money.”
“I'd just leave it at that, okay? Thank you,” he added before excusing himself.
In lieu of Black, reporters turned to Bolts deputy Luigi Trillo, who lamented some calls that didn’t go their way.
“Obviously, there were calls that were tough down the stretch,” Trillo said. “They called certain backings, we thought there was a backing, but Ginebra played well at the start. It's hard to play a knockout game chasing from behind. They had a lot of energy to start the game. LA and Justin hit shots that were mano-mano.”
“It is what it is. Hats off to them,” he added.
Still, Trillo noted his shorthanded team’s resilience.
“What I'm proud about this team is that we were without Ranidel, we were without Kelly Nabong, we were still right there,” Trillo said. “The momentum came too late, but it is what it is. Sometimes you get the breaks, you get a backing call over here, maybe a touch foul here but you have to play on.”
He's the closest thing to a pba mvp ateneo has produced

PBA board not renewing Chito Narvasa term as commissioner, appoints Rickie Santos as OIC

The board has lost confidence in Chito Narvasa, according to incoming chairman Mon Fernandez of NLEX. Jerome Ascano
THE PBA board has declined the renewal of the term of league commissioner Chito Narvasa for the next season, leaving the post vacant until a two-thirds vote is reached to appoint a new league chief.
Seven governors convened in a special board meeting on Thursday morning and filed a resolution to “no longer support and endorse the renewal” of Narvasa.
Incoming chairman Mon Fernandez of NLEX spoke on behalf of the board, refusing to label the controversial trade between Kia and San Miguel Beer as the final straw that triggered their decision.
“It’s a simple loss of confidence, among other things, including performance,” Fernandez said. “The trade is not the main issue. It’s really a loss of confidence already.”
Although gaining the majority, the board still needs to get one more vote for a total of eight to start the process of appointing a new commissioner.
Five representatives – from the the San Miguel Corp. group, Globalport, and Kia, were no-shows in the board meeting.
For now, the league has appointed deputy commissioner Rickie Santos as the officer-in-charge “to ensure the continuity of the operations of the PBA for the meantime.”
Yes, it's the right thing to do not to extend Narvasa's tenure. The controversial trade between Kia and San Miguel is the final nail in the coffin on Narvasa. And some dubious actions as well.
The question now is, sino ang fit na susunod na commissioner ng PBA, bring it to higher heights, and be the talk of the town again despite fans are busy in other things, especially social media?

So ang ipapalit nila yun friendly naman sa Pangalinan group. And the cycles continues.

IMO, sana 1 season na lang PBA per year...
Tapos middle of the year, pwede mag-add ng re-inforcements yung mahihinang teams.
Kasi ngayon, alam na natin na mahina buong taon yung Kia... And di rin naman sila isasalba ng isang player lang.
If pwede sila mag add ng 2 import vs full Fil ang San Miguel, kahit papano medyo interesting yung laban.
Why not create a rule na if you are not a pba champion or a runner up by 5 years, then balik sa dleague.
Sa dami nang conference, kahit isa man lang maka finals ka dapat.
Or maybe shift back to a 2 conference format. All Filipino Cup and a reinforced conference (2 imports would be good)
