it wasn't his decision, it was bob arums decision to wait for the basketball game to end before starting the main event so "the viewers can watch the championship". pero syempre ang totoong reason is para di mabawasan ang manonood ng boxing. what pacman did though is stretched his calves only after the basketball game which caused about 15-20min. delay.

although pac's loss is a rather nice way to finally tell pac and his family and the rest of the philippines to 'get real' and 'get over it'

it is possible that it may be one of arum's business strategy. if i was arum, i'd pay off the judge/judges to round up numbers against pac if a tko does not happen before the 9th round. that'll create a publicity hype for both (worn-out) pac and (new boy) bradley, an excellent bait for mayweather. but i'm not arum and i still can't figure out how popular perception = ton of dough.

the fight between him and marquez could've been given to any one of them, both of them deserved the win because of how hard both fought. do i think pacman deserved to lose? no. do i think marquez deserved to lose also? no. i would've given a draw but i could see why pacquiao won, he won because he is the champ, throw more punches than marquez and was the aggressor the whole fight and yes marquez's punches was more effective but he should've been more aggressive.

this fight with bradley was clearly miss judged, even before the fight harold lederman, emanuel steward, jim lampley was questioning if the judges were the right judges to judge this fight since they haven't judged a fight as big as this and the fights that they judged previously, the scores they gave we're questionable. pacquiao dominated the whole fight, was more aggressive, throw more punches, was more effective, his punches was clearly a lot more powerful. a lot of people just couldn't see how bradley won unlike marquez vs pacquiao where the fight could've gone either way.

the funny thing is, after this loss the smell of money just got so so much stronger. the rematch will generate much more PPV buys. many people lost interest because of the wrong decision that happened during the marquez fight. this is the first step to make the odds closer to 50-50. maybe manny placed a big bet on bradly, and will happily walk to the bank.
