I was for solis in this fight but when I heard Paquiao's speec after the fight regarding his entering politics...medyo naintindihan ko na siya. I think he really finds fullfilment in uniting the Filipino people.

I'm gonna watch the replay and cheer for him this time. =)

I admire him for his honest (I hope) intentions. But for me, I'd much rather have him continue to fight in the boxing ring, win, and give glory and pride to our country while he's still at his sensational best. He can help our country in other ways (like being involved in charities, NGOs etc.) through the money he's gonna win from all his fights.

OT: i admire individuals who profess their love to serve the public. however, in Manny's case, he'll be serving 2 masters at the same time in case he wins in the elections. both endeavors (boxing career & politics) require full time effort and energy to be fully effective.

pag me boxing fight, he has to undergo full time training (2 months or more?) so during that time hindi niya magagampanan ang duties niya as a politician... kawawa constituents niya.

also, during fight time baka hindi siya naman makapag concentrate sa laban dahil naiisip niya ang mga problema ng mga constituents niya. baka hindi niya mailagan ang isang lucky punch ng kalaban eh ma knock-out pa siya...
