POC suspended BAP, and BAP in turn appointed (no election took place) Joey Lina, si Gordon ang unang nilapitan but Gordon declined.

I believe and scenario pag di na lift ang FIBA ban e POC will not include basketball as an event sa SEA games. Discretion ng host country yan. I believe wala problem si Peping kay Joey Lina as chairman of BAP. These are the same people who brought rag tag teams to International Competitions. What Peping wants is to really snap the wings of BAP thus getting rid of the BAP officials who have been the country's stumbling block in reclaiming our lost glory.

Nag-umpisa lahat iyan, noong matalo ang national team natin, all amateurs, coached by Boysie Zamar, sanctioned by BAP, and with the financial backing of Lhuillier. Tinalo ng team ni Paranaque Vice Mayor Anjo Yllana (Paranaque All Stars ata), composed of movie stars and some ex-collegiate and PBL players ang RP National Team
And the rest is history....Away- away na ang BAP at POC.
