No more BTV on SkyCable in 2008?

Ang tanong eh kung magtataas ba destiny? Ready na din kami lumipat from sky to destiny if that happens.

bro, years ago nawala mga star channels (ESPN, Star Sports, etc) sa SKY (nung time na nde pa nila nabili ang home cable), ang meron lng eh Destiny. ang nangyari eh ang daming lumipat sa destiny medyo bumagsak business ng Sky nuon. may possibility na mangyari ulet ito lalo na ngayon ang daming magandang channels ng Solar.

Yes, that's right. Its just more difficult to migrate households because not everyone lives in a single detached home. A lot of people now live in condos which have exclusivity agreements with Sky.

I've been plagued with bad luck as far as cable TV subscriptions go. I started out with Sky, was with them when they lost the Star channels. At that time, I thought, what's the worse that could happen? Nothing life threatening I guess, so I stuck it out with them. When they had the nerve to raise their monthly, that's when I got really pissed and moved to Destiny.

Few months after switching, it was Destiny's turn to lose the Star channels. To hell with it, I'm not going back to Sky. No big deal anyway, I was able to live without the missing channels. And unlike Sky, they reduced their rates.

If this rumor ends up being true, all I can say is, eat my shorts, Sky Cable! :bleh:

i've read this news or ad sa newspaper last week. it's true sky will remove solar channels starting jan 2008 but they will replace it also with 5 new channels. i just forgot the names but 1 channel that will replace BTV is BALLS (channel ID name). buti na lang royal cable ako dito sa sta. rosa laguna. P415 lang monthly fee.

Sana hindi to totoo, i always watch jay leno sa etc. Ok din naman ang jacktv.... Sayang naman kung totoo to. Maybe its time to try other providers if this is the case.

malamang, gagawin premium channel yan. just like the HBO Pak. additional fee on top of your monthly subscription...

Pardon my ignorance, ano ba pinapalabas sa BTV?

Destiny Cable viewer here, and contented na rin ako sa ETC, ETC 2nd Avenue, Solar Sports and Jack TV. What I hate most about Destiny though is wala na yung Star Channels nila.
