that's the thing, smart is known for his defense and yet he allowed his man, de rozan, to score 37 points in that home court meltdown! he's supposed to be the main man and the heart and soul of the bean town defense and yet right now they're and 28th in the league defensive totem pole. and lately it seems that it's his defensive rep that doing the talking and not his defensive skills that's doing the work.

but to be fair, smart may have a point and probably wants the piece of the scoring pie but is it proper of him to criticize his teammates on an open and hot mic? those actions will only lead to locker room discontent and that never bodes well for any team.

also, i think this is a shot at not only his teammates but more so at his new coach who is still getting his feet wet as a head coach in the nba. i guess marcus served public notice that he wants to be known as an offensive player too.
