    i dis-agree.
it's transmitted by "close physical contact", via open wounds, or droplet respiratory route, regardless of ***ual or gender orientation.
it may even be acquired thru infected articles of clothing.
the mechanism is not exclusive to gays.

syempre iyong suking spa ko matino at nag prapractice ng safe hygiene methods. even during the covid 19 epidemic they were very meticulous about following the strict health protocols set by the doh.

You can check scientific journals they all confirm mpox really is a "gay" disease.

Of course the mechanisms for transfer means it can spread to anyone, we are all still homo-sapiens here, but if >95% of the infected are gays then there's a good chance you can stay safe just by avoiding interaction with them.

This is study conducted by the WHO with 16 participating countries (outside of Africa), and the results are:
Features of Mpox infection: The analysis of the data submitted to the ID-IRI network | ScienceDirect
The mean age of 647 patients included in the study was 34.5.98.6% of cases were males, 95.3% were homo***ual-bi***ual, and 92.2% had a history of ***ual contact. History of smallpox vaccination was present in 3.4% of cases. The median incubation period was 7.0 days. The most common symptoms and signs were rashes in 99.5%, lymphadenopathy in 65.1%, and fever in 54.9%. HIV infection was present in 93.8% of cases, and 17.8% were followed up in the hospital for further treatment. In the two weeks before the rash, prodromal symptoms occurred in 52.8% of cases. The incubation period was 3.5 days shorter in HIV-infected Mpox cases with CD4 count <200/μL, we disclosed the presence of lymphadenopathy, a characteristic finding for Mpox, accompanied the disease to a lesser extent in cases with smallpox vaccination.
Another report by the USA CDEC specifically calls out gay men:
Epidemiologic and Clinical Characteristics of Monkeypox Cases — United States, May 17–July 22, 2022 | MMWR
    Summary

What is already known about this topic?

A global monkeypox outbreak began in 2022.

What is added by this report?

Among U.S. monkeypox cases with available data, 99% occurred in men, 94% of whom reported recent male-to-male ***ual or close intimate contact; racial and ethnic minority groups appear to be disproportionately affected. Clinical presentations differed from typical monkeypox, with fewer persons experiencing prodrome and more experiencing genital rashes.

What are the implications for public health practice?

Public health efforts should prioritize gay, bi***ual, and other men who have *** with men, who are currently disproportionately affected, for prevention and testing, address equity, and minimize stigma, while maintaining vigilance for transmission in other populations. Clinicians should test persons with rash consistent with monkeypox, regardless of whether the rash is disseminated or was preceded by prodrome.

if you really have to or want to,
go to a reputable health facility, i.e., a hospital or outpatient clinic, that offers physical therapy.
