i like kobe - not enough to defend or argue haters vociferously on his behalf but he's up there in my list of players to emulate

Simply too many miles on Mamba's tires. And he couldn't change his game like Jordan did when he came out of retirement to drop was it 40 or 50 on the Knicks?

Sadly, he did not do anything to separate himself from jordans shadow. Hence, forever, he will be known as the closest thing to mj.

For a basketball player, nothing is better than being labelled as the next best thing to MJ. That is a compliment if you ask me.

Im not saying thats a bad thing. His accomplishments are better than most of the great players today.
He is the best to come out of the 96 draft.

But at the end of the day, do we ask, will their be another kobe? Or will their be another jordan?

Jordans shadow is actually a trap to those players. No one can be like mike because mj played on a different generationm

Datng kasi negative nung statement mo when in fact, lahat nang SG na sisikat, kay MJ talaga basehan. Siya ang GOAT eh. Sa PF si TD, sa center si Karem, sa PG si Magic and sa SF si Bird or LBJ toss up.

Ganun talaga. Only by trying to be the best can you be the best.

Imagine a Kobe or a Pippen guarding him.

Im sorry if you find my statements as negative.

Style of play of sg's are different, therefore, not all sg will be compared to jordan. Miller is to ray allen. Ginobli is to harden.

What im saying, kobe could have at least differentiate himself a little bit.

But that is his choice. Kobe is still a god damn good player.

    Good day.

Siyempre bro, first word mo pa lang sadly na eh. hehe negative agad. Anyways okay naman yang punto mo.

Maybe what you really mean is unlike MJ who pioneered a new brand of basketball(although close to Dr. J in aerial assaults) with competitiveness never before seen. Kobe tried to duplicate MJ and he has no qualms about it. Precisely because it worked for MJ (6rings) and did almost the same for KB (5rings).

Ibang style din to si KB sa pagretiro, malamang sold out lahat ng tickets sa mga lalaruan nila. Di pwedeng walang tribute e.

It's quite possible the Lakers are milking Kobe for every last cent they can; with his announcement people will think all sort os excuses to watch the games: this is the last time we'll see him play live, we owe him support for giving us 5 rings, etc. etc. i don't see anything wrong about it, no matter what your feelings are for Kobe(i don't particularly like how he yells at his teammates when the game's not going their way -- way to go, team captain), he was a damn good player at his prime.

i always liked Larry Bird, mautak maglaro.

Sabi nga ni MJ na Kobe is as cursed as him pag dating sa approach sa laro ng basketball.
