    Guys,

Suggestions naman, anong magandang i panglinis beside soap and water to remove the dog smell? Meron bang locally available na chemical to remove? I read somewhere before na using lime powder will help... san meron nito if ever and kung effective ba.

Bro, I think the smell of dogs are still there even if you have it bathed regularly. You cannot totally eliminate it. The important thing is that, your dog is clean.

Remove the dog. hehehe. Joke lang.

Regular bathing is good. Pwede mo din pakalbo once in a while. I don't know much about dogs. Base sa karanasan lang iyan.

sprinkling baking soda on your carpet and seats before vacuuming and occassionally shampooing should help minimize the odor.

    Guys,

I dont have problems with the dog smell... yung sorroundings ang problem ko medyo nangangamoy wee wee na kasi even it is being washed regularly.

Kcboy: ikaw ba yung kcboy sa kotse.com? Anyway I was looking for an LC100 kasi and stumbled upon your advertisement... sayang nabenta na.

Fellow tsikoteers, Anyone wanted to multiply their dacshund? I have a male dachshund pure breed sayang nga lang walang paper... pero kung pang pet lang ok naman. PM nyo nalang ako. Also kung may nagbebenta ng LC80 or LC100 PM me.

    thanks for all your inputs.

German Shepherd yun.

another friend of mine bathes his dog sa beach (taga-subic kasi).. not sure on what it could do to the skin and hair of the dog though.

1st. panglinis ba kamo? here's my suggestion, panglinis ng cage, use any panglaba sopa or powder you can add clorox, but! but pagnilinis mo cage dapat wala yun doggie sa palce nya para hindi nya malanghap amoy.

I used to raise show dogs, nag champion nga yung isa. Retired na ako sa dog raising. To remove the doggie smell, use chlorox as suggested. However, the dog can still identify it as a place to pupu or wiwi. To entirely remove even the dog can't smell it, use ammonia. The kind and degree of smell is partly due to the food they eat.

Doggy smell from the dog itself, aside from shampooing (make sure when you shampoo, you scrub it in, for long haired breeds, use your hands to really scrub it up to the skin, just like what you would do, to make it reach your scalp. for short haired dogs, you can use those brushes/scrubbers that you use in the bathroom, or they have those for dogs, really does a good job getting through the short but tough hair), AND don't forget to clean the EARS. Yes, the ears. Half of the smelly battle comes from the ears. Use cotton buds, balls, or even tissue with some alcohol to remove the ear wax, even from the outside part of the earlobe. This is especially true with floppy eared dogs like bassets, whose earlobes are covered and are not aerated. Lift up the ears and try to smell the earlobe and you will know what I mean.

thank you for all your suggestions. I guess I will be using clorox with powder soap for cleaning then.

Altec: Any Basic dog tricks you can recommend and how to teach them? yung dachs ko minsan nakikinig pero mostly di parang feel ko di naman nya naiintindihan (parang gagawin lang nya just to get treats) or stubborn lang talaga?

    Thanks!

Chemicals like clorox can harm your dog, even when diluted. Try exposing your skin to some of it and find out for yourself (that itchy feeling is the start).

I've seen some herbal types of dog soap & shampoo coming into the local market. Like this australian dog shampoo with tea tree oil. I've read that tea tree oil has good antibacterial properties. And most dog smells does come from bacterial action in their hair and skin.
