It's not immediately detectable, is it? I have a friend who became promiscuous and she took an HIV test which turned out to be negative. I think she has to be tested every year for 3 years. I had to make the calls which was quite embarrassing for me. hehe. Not all hospitals offer HIV testing.

From what I know, it has an incubation period. If you test too soon, it will not appear positive.

Actually the rise in detection of HIV among call center workers is
because they generally have medical insurance or HMO. If you conduct
a honest to goodness census of HIV positive individuals in the philippines
then cases will be so much higher.

Let us wait till the philippine blood center program gets online and
HIV detection will go even higher.

Sory I am mistaken, The 500% increase in Syphilis and HIV was also
detected by Philippine Blood Center on their blood letting projects
with call center co. They tried to tap this resource but.

Now donated blood will have a "donor unit exclusion clause".

Donors will be given a number to call should they feel that their blood
should not be donated and their blood will be destroyed no questions asked.

^^^ This is worrisome. The blood banks are affected... I am a regular donor with the PNRC and based on my experience with them, they do not screen blood donors for this. Although they may have a screen of the donated blood later on. This, I am not certain, though....
