This air pistol is a direct replica of the famous Walther PPK designed in 1929. It features the same size, shape and feel as the original. It’s a magazine-fed CO2 pistol with a functional magazine catch and a slide action that cocks the gun after each shot. This pistol can be dismantled and cleaned the same way as the original PPK handgun. CO2 single action, .177 BB only. Overall length 7.1"; barrel length 3.0"; weight 26 oz. 260 FPS. Kit contains pistol, (1)pair of shooting glasses, (3) NRA Targets, (2) CO2 Cartidges and (1) 350-count BB bag. Available in Black (W-PPKBK) or Silver (W-PPKSK)

Yup, that will most likely not be able to penetrate the skull bone.

My son has a .177 air rifle that clocks 340 fps, and I've shot the stray cat that comes into our yard 3 times already at a distance of about 10 feet, always aiming for the skull. Tumatama naman yung pellet kasi napapatalon sa ere yung pusa, pero balik pa rin sya ng balik.

Pusa pa lang yon ha, paano pa kaya kung two-legged predator ang kalaban

I used to have a .22 pellet, European-made CO2 air rifle with a velocity of +1000 fps. The lead pellet is pretty much a flat splatter circle when I fire it at a concrete wall. It'll also disembowel a condensed milk can almost into two pieces.

Refilling with CO2 is dangerous though. I had to screw in a 1.5 foot long tank to fill the CO2 chamber. The threads didn't line up one time and the spewing CO2 gas blistered my hand.

260 fps penetrate a skull? If it enters up front, maybe if it goes through an eye.

FYI. There are no c02 rifles that can do more than 1000 fps. It is just not possible. Carbon dioxide gas cannot move fast enough to propel the pellet that fast. You were more likely in the are of 700-800 fps.

This one did. It was a single-shot, bolt action, .22 caliber only. It was CO2 -powered. But, it didn't use CO2 cartridges. It had a CO2 chamber below the barrel which required a relatively big CO2 tank at full capacity to fill it (at the required pressure). I bought Crosman air rifles that were in the 700 fps range after I returned here. Their hitting power is puny compared to the hitting power of the pellet rifle I left behind in the Philippines. It's practically a gun without the gunpowder.

Also, there are many pellet rifles that can do 1000 fps or beyond. But they're more common with .177 pellets. Just do a Google for them.

Edit: I did most of my airgun use back in the early 80's after graduating from HS. My Dad gave me that CO2 rifle as a graduation present.

I've been airgunning for quite some time and found out from many different sources that 1000fps is not possible for a c02 rifle. It has actually been scientifically proven by thru different equations and such. You should have kept your chrony data and you would have made some serious dough with that rifle.

Anyway, I don't wanna argue with you, it's nice to see a fellow gun enthusiast in here. I'm from a bit west of you, in sunny cali. =)

the 0.177 BBs or pellets don't carry enough energy to penetrate skull.

I used to shoot a bolt-action type Crossman 0.22 CO2 rifle with peep-sights. I used to kill the neighborhood stray cats. and some birds too. Not sure about it's shooting velocity but I used pointed tip pellets and I do get to penetrate cat skulls from more than 7 meters. With BB shots, the BB would just graze off the skull.

I even made some double action pellets by using 0.22 flat tip pellets, filling them with some powder and capping it with a 0.177 BB (tap lightly into place). Tap too strongly and it will detonate. It doesn't travel as far as a regular pellet but it can shread soft targets pretty well. It can take chunks out of a clay pot where typical pellets only chip it.
