I've dealt with the same and the doctor told me it's time to change lifestyle and eating habits or I can just take pills and let the clock tick knowing it's winding down. Currently on the medication and working towards managing it without (hopefully). It's not easy.

once you acquire hypertension, it's with you for the rest of your life.
you can minimize it by controlling your diet, and/or by taking pills.
but it won't go away. it's just hiding in you, "waiting for a chance for you to make a mistake", to make a comeback.

Going late 20's na ako pero last year nagspike up BP ko pumapalo 140/90 and minsan 130/90.

It's weird, normal BP (120/80 sometimes 110/70), normal sugar (82-90) and normal oxygen 99 or 98 and pulse (68 to 80 max)

But why am I having shortness of breath and my heart feels like ang lakas ng tibok. Its been like this since Friday or Saturday

Do you suffer from hyperacidity? Do you drink coffee? Brewed or instant?

My cardio prescribed the 5mg Norvasc/day when I hit 140/90. Funny thing it is manufactured by Pfizer who invented the famous blue pill so my cardio warned me of the "ridgidity".

Coffee can really cause palpitation, not to mention reflux.

    2. Gym ie.powerbuilding lol...i like this my shouders and hams look good. And it helps sa work. Goal is to do pull ups and maybe lose the belly so i can wear a mankini even though my bp is controlled.

You can buy a bp meter and a food scale to help.

Anybody adding red wine to their diet? I think it also helps manage the cholesterol level.

I havent had alcohol for 8 months, cholesterol is not as bad as people think, we need it for hormone production, including testosterone...our body produces it in larger amounts than we can ingest, problem is its the combination of insulin and cholesterol thats causing the problem, we're ingesting too much of it...

Not necessary imo. Cholesterol medication is 1000x more effective.

    Drink wine for the buzz

Some are arguing that the 120/80 standard is not applicable anymore. 130/90 is still "normal" for some. Also make sure to monitor your heart rate, it is also as important as your blood pressure.

Walking is NOT really an exercise but it's better than doing nothing ... It should be BRISK walking ...

    red wine.. white wine..
you can scan the internet and i'm sure you can find an article saying that "taken in moderation", it's good for your health.
not necessarily correct, 'though. over half of the "medical literature" out there is bellicose balderdash.

Yes sir, nice that you pointed that out, there is always literature contradicting everything, what works for me might not work for everyone else

I don't know why I am having palpitations again I just had tests done last November and everything was normal (Complete blood works, ECG, 2decho, holter and stress test) My uric acid is a little high but my cardio did not bother with it. He said I just need to lose weight. My palpitations went away after all my tests so I am not sure why I am having it again..

My cardio might lose patience with my already because over the years I have been complaining about how I think I have a heart problem but he says it is unlikely because I am of child bearing age, basta he says I need to lose weight lang hehehe

I wonder what could be the other cause of my palpitations? I don't know if it's because I am in love (seriously). But I do know that elevated BP causes palpitations kasi. Also I am constantly with back pain although I have scoliosis and weight gain causes pressure on the back daw.

BUt what does this mean that aortic valve and pulmonic valve is not visualized?!?!?

    Thickened mitral valve!?!?

My cardio did not even check my bp again and I insisted e when he took it 120 over 80 ata hehehe
