Gilas did a commendable job against Serbia. Wala pa si DRamos sa game na yun. We made the Serbians sweat.

But like what Coach Tab said, we are not happy with moral victories.

Be that as it may, I wonder if the all-pro Gilas Pilipinas team before that battled the Serbians and got totally whipped ever led in their game.

Hopefully, Gilas will overcome the Dominican Republic and meet Serbia again in the finals.

^ afaik he was a player for the san beda red lions and then moved on to becoming an indispensable scout for the gilas squad in the fiba world cup several years back. i'm not sure though if he was still w/ the team when coach tab took over the reigns of the brain trust of the national team.

in other news, the refurbished gilas under serbian coach nenad vucinic lost to a revenge minded south korean team on their home ground. they closely ceded the tune-up games in front of a hostile crowd looking for blood. the team was w/o ange kouame, dave ildefonso, and then eventually lebron lopez who incurred a nasty ankle injury .

kiefer ravena, dwight ramos, carl tamayo, rj abarrientos and the debuting rhenz abando held the fort for the pinoys.

nagpakitang gilas sila abarrientos at sj belangel sa mga local fan ng paglalaruan nila ni the near future.
