    Genetics din...
Same here. Most of my cousins on my Mom's side are quite tall, even the females (along with a natural brown hair and a light complexion). I just had the luck to get my Dad's height. But through all these years, I haven't found being short a liability.

buti nalang i got a good genes from my mom side, tangkad kasi halos pinsan ko mom side, even my uncle and aunts are tall=)

but we took chinese growth balls din during our adolecense period, yung pinsan ko sa dad side took chinese growth pill, it worked well on him, 5'9 ata height niya, his parents are not that tall.

if your 20 up less than 30, i think pilates could help, there are certain position in pilates that enhances growth.

being smart and know how to carry oneself is needed, kung di ka gifted sa height, matalino ka naman use it to cover for your vertical challenges

gamot pangpatangkad? does it really work? Gusto ko ngang mag-take nun nung HS years ko,.. kaso it's a waste of money kasi ke anung gawin natin, it's all in our genes that's responsible for it.

Though my dad is only 5'5", my mom is 5'3"... kameng magkakapatid di naman kaliitan,. I'm 6' flat, my sis's are around 5'5'' up, so nakakapag taka lang, hehe!

Hehe... andami ding half-Japanese dito, ah?

With my family, the height is also a problem. Some of my cousins (half-japanese and half-white) are over six feet, but have terrible spinal problems because of our bone structure.

    RE: new generation being taller?

That's something you see in most developing cultures. Caucasians used to be short, too... but centuries of good food and health care saw them grow taller and taller. Caucasians in the middle ages weren't any taller than Asians of the same time period.

A lot of mixed blood / pure blood Asians from the US turn out somewhat taller than their parents, because the food is good, and there's tons of calcium and protein in their diet. Modern Filipinos in the middle class are getting somewhat taller, but I'm still seeing lots of really short kids in public schools.

Again: by now, it's kinda late to try to change your growth. The best way to ensure you reach your optimum height (capped by genetics) is to ensure you eat a lot of the right stuff as a kid. Supplements are really no replacement for proper nutrition

    1. Eat healthy
    2. At least minimum of 8 hrs sleep a day.
    3. Don't smoke and drink alcohol
    4. Exercise (stretching your legs, arms and body)

Ang problema lang sa mga sinabi niya eh all of the above mahirap gawin. :D

When I was still a growing kid, they (yayas and relatives) told me to eat Star Margarine with my rice and bread.

    My height today? 6ft 2".

Do you think it was real?

If it worked for you and you cannot attribute it to your genealogy,- then it must be true!

Take note though that each generation's average height is higher than the previous'. Must be the better nutrients in the food that they're eating....
