    allow me to clarify.
when the speaker mentions hashimoto, hodgkin, tausig or bing, or rotor (he's a filipino!),
i ask him to flash the person's picture and say something of interest about his life and times.
i inform him in advance, so's he is prepared for the question.

The data seems to point to a plateau in new cases being reported. I hope we start to see the downward slope of the bell curve.

all for the good of the many.

it would be nice if we can de-bark them and put them in quarantine farms.
    but that many...!!
Plus the health care workers and security team that would facilitate that. For two weeks minimum cofinement. More if with symptoms pa.

Sana a vaccine or a cure could be developed real soon.

Singapore might be added to the banned list...

Third confirmed novel coronavirus case in Britain travelled to Singapore: Reports - CNA

LONDON: A British man who tested positive for the novel coronavirus had travelled to Singapore, the BBC and the Guardian reported on Thursday (Feb 6).

He is the third confirmed case in Britain, and the first British national to have caught the virus, the Guardian quoted government sources as saying.

Travellers arriving in Britain from nine countries and territories have been advised to stay at home and call the National Health Service (NHS) if they are ill within 14 days of their arrival.

The advisory, which initially only covered mainland China, has been modified to include Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Macau.

Britain’s Department of Health urged the public to call the NHS even if they are presenting mild symptoms

in order to be counted as a novel coronavirus case one need to be confirmed by a test

there aren't enough test kits out there so there are still many unconfirmed cases

in order to be counted as a novel coronavirus death the deceased had to be a confirmed n-cov case while he was still alive

and authorities have to report it as a n-cov death

since many sick weren't confirmed n-cov cases when they died they weren't counted as n-cov deaths

Should we ban flights to countries that still allow mainlanders to take connecting flights to PH?

Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Malaysia are all still allowing flights to arrive from China.

While Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam announced all border crossings with the mainland would be suspended, people can still travel across the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, Shenzhen Bay Port to and from Hong Kong International Airport.

I'm surprised that Thailand, which has 25 confirmed cases, is still allowing flights from China.

Wtf. Wala din palang kwenta yung lockdown from CHN.

Dapat pag galing CHN from Dec to present wag na nila papasukin. Need to look at travel history na.

But hoping this government does it is like betting on the lotto.

Press Statement of former Philippine President and Association for Philippines- China Understanding (APCU) Chair Emeritus Gloria M. Arroyo on the Outbreak of novel Corona virus.

“We are deeply saddened and very concerned about the havoc to the Chinese people by the outbreak of novel corona virus which has spread to other countries. It has affected adversely not only the health but also the socio- economic activities in China and other parts of the world.

We strongly support China's decisive and inclusive efforts to combat the disease .

We are confident and hopeful to the early success of our common resolve and fight against the disease for the good health and well-being of the Chinese and Filipino peoples and humankind.
