i think ung pag suot natin ng mask, physical distancing, hand washing naka bawas sa pag kalat ng virus

baka may mga tumaas ang kilay diyan... sabi ko bawas hindi eliminate

kung ang reproduction number (R0) ng virus without mask & distancing is 3-4, ung pag suot ng mask and distancing brought the number closer to 1

    --

iba ung pag sinabi the virus weakened

pag sinabi kasi weakened it means nagkaroon ng mutation that made the virus less deadly

kung dati the worst symptom you'll get is acute respiratory distress and have to go to the ER

ngayon the worst symptom you get is fever and cough and you get well after a few days

pag ganyan masasabi natin the virus has weakened

as far as Cebu is concerned di natin masabi the virus has weakened diba?

puno mga ospital nila, puno ang ICU

    --

magkaiba kaya ang strain na kumakalat sa Cebu at sa strain sa NCR

mas matapang ba ang strain sa Cebu?

    we don't know

i think we can get the flu virus many times, because there are many strains of flu virus.
each strain may be antigenically different enough, so as to escape the immune system that has been sensitized to another flu virus strain.

if indeed the virus is weakening (mutating), it has not been reported yet.

another possibility, is that the doctors are now more adept at treating the covid patient.

a third possibility is, because we are now detecting the less symptomatic patients, their fatality rates are relatively less...

I believe this is the case. Hospitals are more experienced now in taking care of covid patients. Pero sana mas naging mura na din ang hospital bills since hindi na sila nageexperiment.

I hope after this crisis our government would improve our healthcare system, in case another pandemic comes we won't start from scratch again.

Monserrato posted an article that says salt water could be effective against the virus

diba there's an old remedy where you gargle water with salt?

when i saw that at the grocery weeks ago, i thought it "hey this makes sense and it's more convenient than sarili timpla water + salt"
