My Mom's classmate sent this to her at mas lalo siya determined not to have anyone else come in sa house.

    From white plains viber group:

Good morning neighbors! Thanks Toti for the reminder.
I was moved to share you this story.

Even staying at home can have its dangers and hazards if the people around us are careless and irresponsible. And we are not vigilant.

A friend just succumbed to CoVid. He was immuno compromised. Diabetic and with emphysema. 73 yo. He stayed at home all this time of CoVid19.

They had a family driver who goes home to his family every week. He commutes and has 2 days off. He never took our friend for a ride, however he would be called upon to help inside the house. Unknown to the house owners, he was asymtomatic, positive and carried the virus. Our friend contracted it. He was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday for difficulty of breathing. His oxygen tank didn’t help at all. Intubated and into ICU, he didn’t see the light of day. He passed away yesterday. He knew it was coming to an end and we were told that while in the ambulance, he begged that he be spared from dying and he was not ready. He was an active businessman in spite of his health condition. He was comfortable inside his home, however the people who came in and out can be carriers of our silent and invisible enemy. Let us avoid the repeat of this story.

Stay Safe. Draw some house rules for our staff and family. Physical distancing. Washing of hands. Handle days off and set rules.

Think of your family first. Your intention is good but take care of your family.

It's different kung yun nag ka covid eh nasa Healthcare ka na it's obligation to stay there and help pero wala ka naman ngaykn sa diyan eh.

Ano ba dahilan mo? I'm sure it's not pay! There are other ways to help kjnf Yun lang intention mo.

What's happening to Cebu? More positive results, meaning may obvious surge.

    What’s happening :
A deep dive into NCR and Region 7, the two regions we should closely monitor ( CTTO EDSON GUIDO)

Chart 1 shows that the number of individuals tested in Region 7 labs is NOT increasing (orange) and yet the 2nd chart reveals that positive tests reported by labs there in June are HIGHER..

Good to see NCR much better situation but not clearly decreasing yet

We are testing more at the national level so that's one of the reasons . But for Cebu we're not testing more and yet positives are increasing

the data i'm interested in is how many tests do you need to perform to find 1 postive

like for example you need to perform 1000 tests in a city to find 1 positive

that's pretty good compared to performing only 100 tests to find 1 positive <--- that means madami pala may virus

    ...number percentages would be nice,
but it's probably too early to determine yet.
besides, it might give some folks a false sense of safety, or un-safety.
we still know very little about covid 19.

    what is important here,
are the importance of the mask, the distance, and the quarantine.

DOH Data still have a lot of fixing...

Numbers that matter: COVID-19 – Relative Joy

While we understand that the situation may be overwhelming because of manpower and other issues, other countries are grappling with the same problem we are. And have numbers far greater than ours by leaps and bounds. The problem we have is the handling of the data.

It is unacceptable that we get reports where the “fresh” and otherwise are being divided daily when we cannot even keep up with the backlogs. It is unacceptable that the ‘others’ are not even reported in real-time, when we already know that the ‘others’ contribute to a large number of the daily cases being reported daily. It is unacceptable that even the following day, when we try to dissect the cases reported today, we find a large chunk belonging to the wastebasket called “for validation” or “unknown”.
