Madaming masyadong natatakot sa covid even here in tsikot. Yes, it’s a novel disease. But we know the mortality is not high. Yes it’s extremely infectious, but we know how to prevent it (masks, hand washing, disinfections, etc.). And most hospitals, after 3 months of taking care of covid patients, would have already determined the best way to take care and cure the patients.

If you can afford not to go out at all, then good for you. You are one less person lingering outside.

But if everyone would think the same way and actually stayed home, and groceries and public markets are closed because no one could report to work. Restaurants will also be closed because they cannot buy the ingredients to cook their food, and also, the cooks will also be staying home.

Then what would everybody eat? Unless you have your own farm, plant your own fruits and vegetables, and some pigs, chickens and maybe cows.

What if you’re living in your luxury condo? You will eventually run out of food. And the government won’t be able to feed everyone forever.

I am in the essential foods business. I deliver food to groceries and public markets. I employ lots of drivers and delivery helpers. They are going out everyday to different public markets in different towns and provinces. They receive salaries and they can feed themselves and their families.

I have never stopped my operations during ECQ and now GCQ. Me and my wife also go to our office everyday, even our 2 children are in the office almost everyday. We require them to help in the office if they don’t have school.

We have been living as normal as possible since the pandemic began. But I am not complacent. I know I might catch the virus. But I do try to be as careful as I can. Not to the point of wearing full PPEs. I try to live as comfortable as I can, as safe as I can.

Luckily, I think, none of us, including all my employees, have catched the virus. Or maybe we are all asymptomatics already. I have never done covid tests, and I don’t have plans to do so, unless I will be required.

Since the first day of lockdown, I have provided Vitamin C + Zinc or Vitamin C + Calcium + D3, whichever is available, several washable face masks for each, and a bottle of alcohol in each delivery vehicle. All vehicles entering our compound needs to have the tires and wheelwells sprayed with disinfectants. I have also put up a hand washing sink near the gate.

I also regularly go to groceries to buy my needs, go to hardware stores like wilcon, go to restaurants to takeout food.

I will soon have a construction project at my house. I will be building a covered garage and plan to start construction middle of June. Walang wala ng pera mga construction workers as per my contractor. Hindi sila maka avail ng SBWS since alam naman ng lahat pag small time construction workers lang, hindi naman nagbabayad ng SSS and wala din silang TIN. So all the more na dapat kong ituloy ang project.

We really need to keep our economy going for everyone to benefit. Not everybody can afford to stay at home any longer.

Kala ko nag scale down ka, hindi pala. Kaya pala gusto gusto mong mag open mga auto parts store. But you should be more vigilant now, kasi during ECQ your workers are outside while everyone else is at home including the asymptomatic's , come Monday, your workers are outside while everyone else is also outside including the asymptomatic's. The risk/odds is now higher.

In my case, nag scale down kami, health over money muna.

i am wondering, how long before it is finally decided that the vaccine works as advertised, or better yet, "works as expected by the man on the street" ?

Karamihan ng binibilhan ko ngayon, sellers sa community then home delivery. Yung iba naman may pwesto sila sa palengke (like Pasay, Taguig and Paranaque) I guess wala na nga masyado pumupunta kaya they deliver na lang for a fee.

My friends and I were discussing if we should wear PPEs when we go out. We won't look like idiots naman siguro kasi may nakita friend ko na nag grocery in full PPE.

Kanina lang, my Mom told me that her HS friend went out in full PPE! Dapat naman talaga di siya lumabas, she's in her 70s and lives in San Juan but she had to go to the dentist.

BTW, magkano kaya itataas ng clinics ngayon if the doctor has to change PPE per patient, like i auscultate, which should be procedure, e di hahawakan yun patient

I’m still at around 80% capacity. Ibang employees ko can’t report to work due to no public transpo. Di ko kaya hatid sundo lahat. Pero nagpapadala ako monthly allowance sa kanila kahit maliit lang.

Okay ako sa essential (food, medicines and logistics) I'm thankful nga hindi nagka hirapan sa supply ng food, hindi pa rin ako agree sa GCQ kasi madami non essential companies like ours na atat na magpapasok (without testing) kahit almost 3 months naman kami nag function at 100% WFH.

At kahit na isa sa business na gusto ko pasukin dati salon, hindi naman siguro nakaka matay hindi magpa manicure at magpa wax, pero dami tao excited na magpa ganda

Yes but some do need to visit their dentist regularly like if you wear brace and need to make adjustment.

I am afraid of how my dentist will charge now, my Lola used to pay for my dentist e ngayon ako na nagbabayad. More than one year na ako walang prophy!

But even with PPE, hindi pa rin ako pupunta sa dentist. Basta be diligent in brushing, flossing and don't eat hard foods.

I was looking at my old photos nga, ewan ko pero parang hindi na maputi ngipin ko (had it bleached before), dunno if age or dahil wala ng prophy hahaha! Pero YES tigil lahat, hindi naman ako mamamatay ng walang prophy so I will delay this as much as I can. May ibang tao nga NEVER nagpapa prophy. Kasi imagine, mouth yan, kahit gaano ka sterile dentist mo, you cannot be 100%, derecho pasok virus sayo nyan!

Bwisit talaga yang China virus, the world should let them pay! Mga loved ones ko nga puro 70s and 80s na, they come home yearly sa PIlipinas, ilang years ko sila hindi makikita?!? Pati nga yung work ko, na leche na yung assignment ko abroad.

Biggest problem ko paano ako makakabalik ng US e I can't stay here in the PH for long
