It's the squatter colonies that may bare the brunt... Poor hygiene and close quarters.

Incompetency might be an understatement for our DOH officials.
Sabi nila they are well prepared to handle this Covid19 pero pagdating sa test kits hindi pa nadagdagan yung reported number na 2000 WTF!
baka nakalimutan nila na hindi lang isang beses ang testing na gagawin sa isang Covid19 patient.

Limited test kits led to possible ‘underreporting’ of coronavirus cases in PH – DOH

At present, the government’s testing capacity is at 4,500 individual tests, with 2,000 more extraction kits expected to arrive on Tuesday, Duque said. The University of the Philippines National Institutes of Health has also developed test kits for the coronavirus, but they have yet to be rolled out in local hospitals pending clearance and approval from the World Health Organization.

Government cover up to make themselves look good...

DOH: Lack of test kits behind ‘underreporting’ of COVD-19 cases | Inquirer News

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III issued the statement after Sen. Panfilo Lacson claimed over the weekend that the DOH might have “underreported” COVID-19 cases “albeit unintentionally.”

“He said there is a possibility of underreporting, although unintentionally. That’s the statement of Senator Lacson,” Duque said a press briefing in Malacañang.

“This is largely because of our limited testing supplies. As soon as we get more, we will be able to expand the coverage of who will be tested.”

As usual, they're moving heaven and earth at the eleventh hour. They're probably even late already. The time to prepare was a month or more ago, but they did not do anything as nothing was happening then over here. Best and Brightest at your service.

Still waiting for the DOH paano na expose at saan yung mga local transmitted cases

It takes an average of 5 days for coronavirus symptoms to show, new study says

“Based on the available data, the researchers estimated the median incubation period of COVID-19 to be 5.1 days and 97.5 percent of those who develop symptoms appeared to do so within 11.5 days of infection. These estimates imply that, under conservative assumptions, 101 out of every 10,000 cases will develop symptoms after 14 days of active monitoring or quarantine, which supports current CDC recommendations,” researchers wrote in a press release.

    Still going to church?

Coronavirus: US priest who shook hands with more than 500 worshippers infected with virus | The Independent

Several hundred people have been ordered to self-quarantine after the rector of a prominent church in Washington DC was confirmed as the city's first coronavirus patient.

Reverend Timothy Cole of Christ Church Episcopal in Georgetown remains hospitalised after DC health officials announced on Monday he was infected with the flu-like illness.

City officials are urging all worshippers who visited the church either on 24 February of between 28 February and 3 March self-quarantine themselves for two weeks from the last time they have visited the church.

He was positively diagnosed on Saturday. Reverend Crystal Hardin said that "out of an abundance of caution, Christ Church has cancelled all activities including church services until further notice," marking the first time the church has been closed since a fire in the 1800s.
