i am somewhat amused that the non-philippinoes used "circuit braker".
it may have been appropriate and catchy over there,
but it seems like it needs some explaining over here.
    cultural differences.

"re-lockdown" appears more appropriate over here, as we already know what it means.
it is just that, everyone doesn't like the word.

    heh heh.

that eq eq blahblah na yan.
i don't like it, as one needs a codigo to differentiate one's restrictions from the other.
i don't even know which Q is more stricter than the other.

Maybe you are expecting too much from Duque.

looking back, sana 2-week timeouts nalang ginawa nila imbes na 3 months straight walang economic activity

We have no choice last year, first wala tayong test kits, wala tayong quarantine facilities, RITM lang nagiisang lab na gumagawa ng test, no PPE and most importantly no brains yun mga nasa govt.

Back to prison living na naman mga Filipinos. I was surprised when I woke up I got different messages from my childhood BFF, office friends, cousin and older relatives related to the China virus. My cousin borrowed our driver and he cancelled because of the virus (for the safety of all). My BFF naman told me na she also cancelled her home repairs for tomorrow. Then viber group chats are on fire re the surge din My oldie relatives naman puro passed on messages to stay safe

I've been on "voluntary ECQ" since March 2020 pero Dec 2020 I eased up on myself. Weekly I go to the market na. But now I will go back to the ONCE A MONTH to go to Mercury routine. All others will be delivery kahit sobrang mahal.

I don't think the "new normal" will ever apply kasi even these people I know who were more or less living normal lives na in the past few months (with precautions), magi isolate na ulit because of the surge...

This is me since March 2020 Yung buhok ko patay na ata. More than 1 yr na ko walang haircut, mani/pedi, prophylaxis and waxing. Thanks to china wuhan virus!!! Pati blood works ko na bayad na sa SLMC baka forfeited na!!!!

Welcome to the Second Wave, boys and girls.

Double mask when you go out (makalimutan na face shield, wag lang ang double mask).

And for the love of god please don't dine in sa restos! Or uminom sa mga bars!

Or do anything which would make you take your mask off in public!
Mask protects people around you, shield protects both of you, tama ba intindi ko

no, alam ko wala naman masyado protection yung shield. It's only to prevent you from touching your eyes and additional protection from splashes. Mask pa rin daw talaga. Kaya ako double mask na ko (surgical + cloth)

Kahit ako super paranoid, I know I may look like a douche pero for places the require a shield, pag naka daan na ko sa guard, tinataas ko na. Hirap kaya makakita ng may shield and for me wala naman siya masyado protection.

If you think double mask will protect you more, think about this:

If naka double mask ka, mas mahirap mag pass through ang air sa surface ng masks. Air will flow through the openings with least resistance, which is the sides/edges of the mask. So you’ll be breathing unfiltered air, and because of venturi effect, mas malakas ang suction effect, which means, lahat ng virus around your space mahihigop mo.

But if you want to protect others, ok lang mag double mask. The particles that comes with the air you exhale will tend to stick to the mask.
