Looks like its the last few days before BTV bows out of Sky Cable for good. Bad trip talaga! Can't even watch the NBA on ABC since I come home late in the evening. I saw Balls TV and it's not as good as BTV.

January 2nd, 2008 02:30 AM #8Wala na ba ang BTV sa Sky Cable? I just got back to Manila and I was channel surfing kanina at hindi ko na makita ang NBA! There's this new sports channel called "Balls" in channel 34! The hell????!! I heard nga na starting 2008, madaming pagbabago sa channel line up ng Skycable. So kasama pala ang Solar Sports doon. If so, how can I have BTV/Solar Sports again?
kaylangan na ba magswitch ng cable provider? Pati UFC hindi na din ako makakanood.. huhuhu. 
Damn sucks!

Mukha ngang tinanggal na ang Basketball TV sa SkyCable....
Baka sa mas mahal na version ng SkyCable, mayroon....
Iba kasi ang cable provider namin dito sa SouthMM... Mura na, marami pang channels....

January 2nd, 2008 08:20 AM #10Waaah! so nung Jan 1, 2008 lang pala ito nagstart? tsk tsk.. Sucks big time talaga, I wont be able to watch NBA Games pag nandito sa Manila. Hindi ko pa nacheck sa province namin, pero hindi naman Sky Cable doon so sana meron pa rin. Bad Trip, nagkaroon pala yata ng disagreement ang ABS-CBN/Sky Cable at Solar Entertainment Corp, parang dahil ata sa rights nung Pacquaio fights kaya Solar decided to split from Sky Cable. Ang mga pinalit naman na channels...

January 3rd, 2008 01:44 AM #17So history na ang BTV sa Sky Cable lang and even if i opt to upgrade hindi ko pa rin makukuha ito. Pero lumipat na sa Destiny Cable na dati naman wala dun ganun ba? hmm.. Nung sandaling nawala ang Star channels sa Sky Cable years ago lumipat na ako ng Destiny, tapos nung bumalik sa Sky nag switch back ako.. ngayon mukhang switch na naman to Destiny.

January 3rd, 2008 01:49 PM #20Skycable tried to kill Destiny Cable before by manipulating the viewers. Arranged exclusivity rights to remove some channels from Destiny so that people will transfer to sky. When people were moving away from Destiny, Sky tried to take over them on a hostile takeover. I guess you know that Destiny never gave in. Lucky for us viewers in the metro, otherwise we could have been paying a lot more for a monopolized Sky coverage, and you think they will just charge us 800 if they succeeded in gaining a foothold of the monopoly? Yeah right.
Destiny Cable carries Basketball TV - Channel 34. Solar Sports is in Channel 35.
For sports fans, Destiny cable also has Eurosports (www.eurosports.com). I like this channel, it gives me more variety and live events.
ESPN & Star sports are also in Destiny Cable but not for all areas. Meron sa Manila area.
500 pesos a month at the moment for some/ 450 for some areas.
