As for safety, you need to be smart using our roads. Marami na nasagasaan while using pedestrian lanes.

Kay TS, saludo ako sayo. I still dream of a city where people use their bikes instead of cars to lessen traffic and pollution. Metro Manila is a very bikeable city. But not biker friendly. Bikeable since QC to Makati is just arou d 15km++. 30min bike ride lang yun. Petiks ride pa yun hindi pang triathlon. Compare that to riding a car. Makati to QC is at least one hour.

Average mo 30 kph sa bike? Bilis ah. [emoji41]

On long XC routes I only average around 20 kph, mabilis na 25 kph. XC MTB pa yun with 10-speed SLX and not a fixie.

He specifically mentioned 15 km distance (QC to Makati) in 30 minutes. Last paragraph of the post.

I take the back roads as much as possible to avoid as much car made pollution as I can. But then again, riding a jeepney or an ordinary bus will expose you to the same pollution.

    Lets discuss!

Importante safety gears. Helmet, lights, reflector. Iwas sa mga jeep na bigla pepreno at titigil sa gitna para mag sakay at baba. Iwas rin sa taxi na nagbabasa ng pasahero. Walang tingin tingin pasahero, basta bukas pinto.

Pag trapik at di kasya bike, buhat hanggang maluwag na gap.

Sharing my mini velo commuter on slick tires.
