My interest in this sport kinda got revived this morning when i accidentally turned to Star Sports and watched Manchester United v. Real Madrid.
Ive always been a Man U fan, what with Erik Cantona before. But now, ive seen Real's Lineup which includes the great brazilian striker Ronaldo, the superb midfielder Zinedine ZIdane of france, Portugese Natl team captain Luis Figo, Irelands' MacManahan and Spains Hierro. WOWEEE! This is like putting o'neal, bryant, duncan, kidd and tmac in one basketball team!
This was the greatest game i ever watched! the score was 4-3 in favor of Man-U, but Real Madrid advanced to the semis coz of aggregate....
wala lang :D :D :D

April 25th, 2003 05:46 AM #5It was really fun and exciting game. Sayang nga lang at hindi pinaglaro si beckham from the start, baka iba sana ang results. I am routing for MU.
We were watching with a large group with my colleagues and that has added to the excitement. Plus the betting factor na nakakadagdag sa suspense ng game.
We have somewhat shifted to watching soccer since the coverage is almost every games although there is also NBA 3 times a week.

April 25th, 2003 09:28 AM #6please do not use soccer... it is not soccer but football... only the americans call it soccer so that they can call their football "football" but does not in any way pertain to the use of feet 100% of the time... from the very start it has been football...
ako I also play football... nakatakas ako sa ROTC ko dahil varsity ako nung college... naghahanap nga ako ng mga makakalaro kahit na every weekend lang sana...
good to hear na marami pa lang naglaro dito ng football...

I always love soccer, especially the Brazilians.
Iba talaga ang style ng mga Brazilians, very classy.
I like Real Madrid because of Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos. With their line-up they have a big chance winning the EUFA Championship.
Sayang nga lang at naudlot ang Barcelona, I've always been a Barca fan kahit umalis na si Rivaldo.
