Same thought. Yun design ng shoes ngayon ang may problema siguro. Remember before Yun basketball shoes meron round cut mark sa sole for faster pivot.

Yeah they don't look so stable to me...

    😛

But seriously, you guys may be right. The knit uppers of those shoes are probably the ones to blame. The outsole and midsole provide great traction and support in the sole area but the ankle is too free with the sock like knit upper. Might be prudent to tape the ankle heavily.

Ako naman i like the shoes of today. Kapit na kapit sa paa tapos may feature na outriggers to prevent ankle rolling

Dumaan na ko sa high tops from world balance to adidas when i was younger but then shifted to low cuts kasi si isiah thomas nakita ko na naka asics at cons na lows dati hehe

To this day i use nike and adidas lows in my alumni league. Depende kung light or dark ang assigned unis namin for the game

Old enough to remember the good old sneaker days.

Truth to tell, I've had less ankle sprains with non-Nike branded basketball shoes. My favorite then was the New Balance 740s worn by James Worthy. Before that, it was the Adidas Superstar and Converse Cons (both hi cut).

    Those shoes just rock!

^ the worthy express. I used to watch older kids wear those and my mouth would drop. I love those shoes but they were too expensive back in the day for mere mortals like me [emoji3]

The converse cons were a brute. They're Bulky as hell but they looked so damn good especially when it came w/ the lakers colorway

Haha! I know what you mean bro. I had to ask my Ninang from the U.S. for the NBs as a birthday present because they were hella expensive. That and the fact that they weren't widely available in the PH then.
