Ganung din ang Lakers kay Dwight Howard last year diba? But he went to the Rockets coz he really didn't want to play in LA anymore. Lebron knows how to win, and wants to win. I don't think he wants out of Miami -- unless Pat Riley doesn't pay attention to what he's asking for. But apparently Riley's listening, as they got Napier.

    just read this:

LA Lakers acquire Fil-Am point guard on NBA draft | Inquirer Sports

The 21-year-old Clarkson, whose mother Annette is Filipino, was selected by the Washington Wizards as the 46th overall pick in this year’s draft.
But the six-foot-five point guard but was shipped to Los Angeles Lakers on draft night for cash considerations.
National team coach Chot Reyes said that he has been in touch with Clarkson two years ago, responding to tweets that the future Laker could be eligible for Gilas Pilipinas.

I hope Melo lands to Chicago. Great defensive team. But landing in Dallas is also a good alternative.

Nakakainis yung mga player na sobrang laki ng salary pero halos wala naman naging malaking contribution to their team but to exceed the salary cap. Sample is the NYK with Stoudemire and Bargniani. Big disappointments.

Is it just me, I don't see Dwight contending for a title with the rockets. Harden is not a real superstar IMO. Sure he was a scoring threat, but come playoffs time, his contributions eventually fade. (Remember the OKC vs MIA finals last couple of years, and their 1st round exit last season? Harden wasn't consistent in the contest.)

Afaik miami has lower taxes compared to other states. Lebron can sign a less lucrative contract in miami & still earn higher than signing max elsewhere. Opting out just opens up his options, & he really enjoys the attention.

Bosh is still worth max to other teams, hindi yan mauubusan ng suitors. I strongly doubt that he would consider leaving miami now though.

Wade is aging bad. He should go where the money is right now.

Yun lang... Ano kaya goal ni wade? Tingin ko not interested na Miami to keep wade.

it's a move by miami to not go over the salary cap at the same time upgrade its roster this season. bosh and haslem will also opt out according to nba.com

i think if riley's plan pans out, big three will take less money for them to upgrade their roster without hurting miami's pocket

bosh, wade, and lebron opting out is good for Miami. instead of being stuck with over $60 million to pay to just three heads this year, they now have the chance to restructure the three contracts to make room for some key role player additions.

Well, informed haters of Miami and LBJ can only hope the Big 3 do ask Pat Riley for max contracts each.

That'll result in Miami being a Nike 3-on-3 Team in the NBA.

Big 3 opting out makes the haters think they gonna disband.. Knowing pat riley, that's what he really wants to stir again his magic wand..

Parang nabasa ko sa nba.com, lebron wants a max contract.. Or its just the media doing some hype..

If i were miami, id push for marcin gortat or kyle lowry.. If they can get them both, mas maganda.. They don't need carmelo naman.. Pau gasol can also be a good 2nd option kase they can get him at a cheaper cost...

OKC still the frontrunner for Gasol! Best they could give is the mid level exception, worth 5.3M. That's a 14M pay cut from Gasol's last paycheck. Good luck with that.

Probably won't happen since Gasol will likely be looking for his last big payday in the NBA. I can see him coming to NY or Dallas, depending on what team Carmelo signs with.

Agree. Kaya nga nagtataka ako baket OKC parin ang perceived frontrunners for him.

Gasol's agent should push him to go for the money, di na tataas market value nya ng ganito.

Hibbert was a huge disappointment in the playoffs, but I think the Pacers should stick to him for a little while rather than trading him for small fish...

"The Pacers have begun "quietly" shopping Roy Hibbert in trade talks, according to Sean Deveney of Sporting News.

No specific teams or players are mentioned in the report, but it's noteworthy that Indiana is open to dealing Hibbert, whose remaining two years and $30 million don't look great after his disappearing act last season. The Pacers are still in the mix to re-sign Lance Stephenson but thus far their moves in free agency have been minor -- they've retained Lavoy Allen and acquired C.J. Miles and Damjan Rudez. The Rockets have reportedly offered unrestricted free agent Chris Bosh a max deal of 4-years, $96 million.

"After Bosh's weekend conversation with LeBron James, and the Heat's offer for substantially less, Bosh is reportedly "strongly considering" a move back to his home state of Texas. Bosh's career took a bit of a hit when he became the third wheel of the Big Three, but before he came to Miami he averaged 24.0 points, and 10.8 rebounds during his last season with the Raptors. Bosh is still an elite talent in the league, and he may decide he deserves to be paid like one. That being said, if James returns to Miami, Bosh will follow. Jul 7 - 2:12 PM"
