    GO AZKALS!

Was able to catch this game. Galeng ng goalie natin, . Kudos to the Azkals defense, although maraming shots on goal yung kalaban na blanka nila. They had 20? shots on goal, we had 4? shots on goal pero wow converted 2 of them. I still think the Azkals got a bit lucky. The Vietnamese coach was right in saying we didn't have an offensive system. A lot of times they were sloppy and gave up the ball so many times but they deserve all the praise for this performance.

For those who are not reached by ESPN / Star Sports, Studio 23 is airing it

Now they're listening. Corporate sponsorship probably coming? Bring out the contracts to sign

    Go Azkals :soccer2:

15 a side pa ang laro nila. half field pa! the other half gamit ng varsity for training.

Dapat may Tsikot Football EB :soccer:

Anyway, I hear Solar Sports are reconsidering showing more Pacman fights and instead are focusing on the PBA instead They should give footy a try, it's not the worlds most popular sport for no reason

The way Philippines played vs Vietnam was classic counter-attacking style, hit them on the break (or fast break ) and catch them out. Doesn't matter if it's frustrating for the opposing team, it doesn't matter if the fans don't like it, but all that matters from the Philippines POV is the 3-points! Nobody remembers the 90 minutes, in years to come people will remember the scoreline, and that's where the Viet coach was so wrong!

Blaming us for a poor show? Howabout we had 4 shots on goal and scored 2, whilst you had 20+ shots and scored none + on your own turf too... I really think we can win this! I mean, why not since we beat the reigning champs, but at the moment Philippines are riding on the crest of their wave so they need to carry it on kasi presuming we get the draw vs Myanmar semi-finals na agad haha so who knows!

All we need is a draw to progress.

A win would assure us of of top spot in the table and will setup a semi-final tie with Malaysia.

maglalaro na si chieffy mamaya. injured siya sa game vs vietnam nun kaya hopefully makabawi siya mamaya. si araneta andyan siyempre. dami niya nga almost goals nung sunday. problem is our top scorer in the person of chris greatwich is not playing - one game suspension daw.

the new team captain is aly borromeo. full back siya kung hindi ako nagkakamali

got my brewskies ready for this tight game. :drunk:

    let's go philippines! :cheer2:

    Philippines 0-0 Myanmar.

Which means we're through to the semis:

    Philippines vs Indonesia
    Malaysia vs Vietnam

    It's a two legged tie - Leg 1 on December 15/16, Leg 2 on December 18/19.

The final is also two legs (weird!), on 26 & 29 December.

The amazing run continues - PHL into the semis.:clap1:

Dapat pala homecourt advantage tayo, as in they should have played here in bayan ni Juan, chance to watch and cheer for the Azkals sana. Kaso, the organizing committee judged that we do not have any suitable venue to play the game.

Anyway, congratulations to the Philippine Football Team and good-luck in the semis.

^pwede sana makapanuod dito kasi home and away ang format sa semis. kaso lang wala daw tayong approved fifa staduim kaya sa neutral country na lang gagawin ang supposed home games natin

pasok na tayo sa semis. i hope our run continues and jar our national sports entities to their senses
