Watch this video of X-Trail's designer, Masahiro Toi, explaining the X-Trail's features. Macromedia Flash plug-in required.
http://www.nissan.ca/en/ms/toisan/
I noticed that their front left and right cupholders are different and are better than local versions. The Philippine version also did not have the driver side aircon vent (located on the dash above steering wheel). The right front seat also could not also fold flat for extra long cargos.
Anyway, I was contemplating on getting either a Nissan X-Trail or a Honda CR-V. My real concern with Nissan is their build quality and the supposedly "low" reselling price, can anyone help refute those? I also read some forum members had varying problems from the horn, to the keyless entry remote, to vibrating hood, etc.
We are a Honda and Toyota family. The last time we dealt with Nissan was back in 1989 with our Sentra Series I (1.6 SGX). We are so used to the good services from both brands, especially Honda. So I just want to ask if there is any difference in buying from certain Nissan dealers? Is this like the situation in Mitsubishi before, where you can get different levels of build quality from Diamond or Citimotors? Are all Nissan dealers reputable? My nearest dealer is in UN Ave.
Despite all those negative aspects, my mind, so far, is still set on the X-Trail. The only thing I did not like with the X-Trail is the seating material used whether its the "washable sporty jersey" which is too slippery (as some forum members have attested) and the leather upholstery which appears on the cheap side (compared to the CR-V).
Also is the 5-speed Transmission of the CR-V better than X-Trail's 4-speed?

May 29th, 2005 06:58 PM #1277number001 : yup ! jan na daw makukuha yung bang units ng fortuner pero may baging variant daw na konti palang pila kasi konti lang may alam pa ! yung 4x2 diesel matic i think its 1.180 and konti palang pila nun less than 20 i think pero will increse the prices of all fortuners daw by 10% sabi sakin dahil its eating the innova sales so medyo tama rin na magpareserve na now if yun balak mo

Not sure lang if...
