PhysOrg.com) -- The Japanese are preparing to develop a two trillion yen (approximately $21 billion USD) space solar project that will beam electricity from space in the form of microwaves or lasers to around 300,000 homes in Japan within three decades.

wireless electricity application. straight out of a sci-fi novel.
Then we get contractual space jobs cleaning space junk to protect the array like in the anime "Planetes".

^^ Waste of money.
Electricity in the Ionosphere is more than enough. Just build a tower high enough (accdg to Tesla's specs). It should work just like his other inventions.

+1. Based on my basic knowledge of earth sciences, the ionosphere is constantly charged by solar winds so almost infinite energy. But this being pushed by Japanese solar cell producers kaya mauuwi sa capitalismo like what J.P. Morgan did. The powers that be love to create debt to keep people in slavery.Living in Japan for years makes me feel like living in one of those dystopian totalitarian societies in sci-fi movies.
