Just installed my Win Xp OS 32bit, and after that installed Google Chrome. I tried to access my Gmail website to check my email, but red security notification appears and the http: is being crossed in the address bar....is this a sign of a virus or malware in my pc?

It should be safe in the gmail website. Try turning off your anti virus software and see if it will let you access your gmail. It might be the culprit.

If you click on the crossed out(left side most corner-> certification information. It usually indicates why it is crossed out.

Check the date on the PC if it it correct.
