Why not Linux? (WinXP + MS Office Pro cost P28,700)

Marami ding advantages ang Microsoft Windows versus Linux. Syempre, hindi mo pwedeng i-compare ang Windows sa Linux in terms of pricing, dahil alam naman nating lahat na OPEN SOURCE ang Linux.

Laganap talaga ang piracy sa Pilipinas, but I don't believe they will raid your house to check if your home computer has pirated Windows installed. So it is more practical to continue using your pirated Windows and save yourself from the burden of reformatting your hardrive and installing a totally new OS. Maraming hassle ang magpalit ng OS, unless na matiyaga ka. And come to think na yung mga drivers mo sa printer, scanner, or other accesories, may not work with Linux. Added to that, masisira pa yung mga routine mo at yung familiarity with your everyday applications. Hassle to the max!

kasabihan nga po ng mga pc shop owners dati "walang bawal, wag lang papahuli!!" :bwahaha: problema po kasi nasanay na most of us sa windows kaya hirap lumipat, even kmi napilitang bumili ng winxp pro (orig syempre!) dahil sa compatibility issues with our applications na ginagamit, medyo pang-advance na kasi sobra ang linux. kaya even though libre sya, hindi sya ganun ka-popular kasi most pc users are newbs (yung iba nga di pa marunong mag-internet; no puns intended). opinion ko lang po yun mga sirs.

kung toyota fortuner nga na as high as 1.8M nakakabili mga tao winxp + msoffice pa kaya (less than 30k)!!
