Currently using a Dyson AM07 that I got on sale. Very quiet, sufficient air for my needs. Aesthetically pleasing too unlike traditional fans that are quite an eyesore for living rooms. Have also hooked it up to my Smart Home system so it’s voice-activated too.

Ang iniingatan sa inverters ay yung switching power supply. Hangat maari disconnect if not being used. Unang tinatamaan rectifers then chain rxn mosfets and control components, mas mahal yung board sa unit at bihira marunong mag repair.

My Standard fan stopped working after 1 year - I bought it at Shopee last July 2020. Disposable na pala fans ngayon or maybe the Standard I bought was fake. Anyway, I am going to replace it with an Asahi because the Asahi I bought for fat lab more or less 5 years ago it still working and that is on 12-16 hrs a day everyday

I don't know which gives the best hangin? Thin or wide blades? 3, 4 or 5 blades? I am liking the retro design but P3k??? I am paying double for wood designed fan? Though I ONLY want a white fan.

my favorite brand is still kdk.
more expensive, but it has weathered time well enough for me.

despite the manyfold names out there,
i suspect there are only a few manufacturers of fan motors.
i suspect that many brands actually use the same motor from these few manufacturers...

my bottom line,
i suspect the fan 's tibay arises more from one's use or mis-use of it, rather than from the manufacturer's unique means of how it put the product together.

Choose a fan that has local authorized service centers and things will get less frustrating when something breaks.... and mechanical things will break.

We have had our Asahi tower fan for about a decade. When the oscillation mode stopped working, I brought it to the service center and they replaced the synchronous motor. I paid like P250, all-in. The only trouble for me was driving the fan there and picking it up 2 days later.

We also have two Asahi rechargeable fans. They're maybe 8 years old and are on their third 6V lead-acid battery. I am thinking of modding them to take 2S2P or 2S3P 18650 batteries with a BMS to a) Increase the capacity from 4.5Ah to approx. 6.8Ah (2S2P) or 10.2Ah (2S3P), and b) Give it a longer lifespan, charging cycles, etc. Of course, this is just for fun.

Other fans around the house; Hanabishi, KDK, Imarflex, and Vornado.

For sure bumigay lang ang thermal fused ng mga yan pati mga rice cooker may ganyan din for safety maiwasan ang sunog kung may kakilala kang magaling kumalikot gagana ulit yan

If the thermal fuse popped there is an overheating issue na. Replacing the fuse alone might just be a temporary

All our fans in the house are Asahi's reason being there is a near by Asahi service center in San Juan. cheap repairs and parts are always available.

A frustration of mine are the quality of affordable electric fans (bintilador) in the market. I’m talking about the affordable ones like Dowell or Camel. I have no issues with the body. It’s the motor that gives up after approximately 1 year of use. Same thing with industrial fans being sold. They are not made the way they’re used to.

by coincidence, i just purchased a stand fan last night.
i had a hard time, as i wanted one when rollers or wheels, and most of those on display didn't have 'em anymore.

anyway, i got one. it was, coincidently, also cheaper than the others.
when i got home and proceeded to assemble it, that was when i found out why it was cheap.
the plastics were more manipis than i initially imagined possible, and the build quality was ... cheap.
assembling the stand was a huge chore, and a huge surprise!
wala nang cast iron frame and pabigat sa base!
instead, the frame was plastic, and it was heavied down by four plastic packs of a strange material that i will refer to as "dark brown bukbok".
i had to re-seal the packets, as one had already started leaking.
installing the stand was also a chore, as they scrimped on the manufacture. the nuts came loose, and i had to do some mechanical gymnastics to put them back in.
and the fan blade guards were "not built to swiss horological standards".

at least, the three speeds and the swivel, work.

Have had good performance and reliability from the following brands:

Hanabishi
3D
KDK
Asahi

I also have a Vornado 660 circulator... gets a breeze and the A/C airflow going around my irregularly-shaped living room.

Just know and understand what you need.... a traditional fan vs circulator. They have very different use cases, granted with some operational overlap.

One safety feature to look for is thermal protection. Motors can spontaneously fail (locked rotor, shorted windings, etc.), overheat, and start a house fire. Those equipped with a thermal fuse will trip before the motor gets too hot.

The 4 I purchased in S & R yesterday is buy 1+1 at P1,999 so, it turns out to be 1k each. The base is flat & heavy. I just hope it lasts a lot longer than the others

Same experience with Camel e-fan. We HAD four stand fans bought 3 plus 1 free. Lahat sira na. Amoy sunog ang motor at hindi na umiikot. Kaya balik Asahi kami.

+1 we bought ours 2003-04. 2 units. 1 died last year. Bearing problem probably. I replaced the capacitor on the other one last month and it is still running fine.
