This is mine bro:
Failed a little over 2 years in. Pity. Body looks like it'll last a lifetime. But the motor... I'll probably have the motor replaced if (when?) things go back to normal. The amount of noise this gives off vs the wind speed is disorienting though. The sientobente of fans.![]()
5-year warranty din ang Sharp.

Personal experience: KDK and 3D... these will last at least 2-3 generations.
Ibang usapan if you have kids running about and toppling these fans over, breaking them.
Try to avoid buying models that have electronic controls, unless you absolutely need them. We have a couple of these, an Imarflex and Asahi. Both have various levels of problems due to this fact. The motors are fine. It's the electronic controls that are quirky.
If you need one that has an app and/or voice control, as well as an elaborate way to schedule their on/off operation, any mechanically-switched fan with a smart plug is all you need.
Then there are Xiaomi smart fans if you have the money to burn. I really don't know how well these will age.
Thanks for the inputs gents. I think I'll go with Sharp this time.
Asahi 2020 models look awfully nice though. Gives off a warm, vintagey resort vibe.

Yung Sharp nga matibay, parang 4-5 years na yung isang stand fan namin. Yung desk fan na niregalo ko sa Ate ko eh mga ganun na din katagal. La pa naman issue.
Naiinis lang ako dun sa mga bolt type lock. Hassle pag naglilinis. Mas convenient yung quick release type levers na 3 at isang kumakapit sa taas. Hehe

Fasten your seatbelt! Or else...Driven To Thrill!
Nice yan ah. What price range niyan?
Vornado ko conked out after 9yrs of use. Ang ingay ng bearing now. I think nakasira is yung pag add ng lubricating oil ng local Vornado service center. As per manual kasi, do not lubricate daw.

I looked into this sharp fan, its price is good(1328 php) , but because of the fan blade design, i'll pass.

You can't change fan speed or oscillation with a smart plug. Wanted to add my Sharp stand fan into my smart home environment but on/off lang kaya.
I'm considering this Toshiba fan with digital controls which can be controlled by my smart RF blaster.

That is true. We keep the fan at the lowest speed and the oscillation turned on in the bedroom and use a smartplug to control its power. I use a routine so it works in conjunction with the A/C.
There's also a fan in the kitchen but this time, the oscillation is turned off.
99% of the time, we're fine with this configuration so cheap fans + smartplugs work.
I have an Asahi fan. 18 years old now. May crack na ang case but everything else works fine.

Magkano ang projected savings kung inverter fan vs conventional one?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Let's say 30 watts for inverter and 65 for conventional with a 3k price diff. So 3k / 10kesos/kwh = 300 kw or 300k watts, divide by 30 watts savings/hour = 10,000 hours or 416 days of 24 hour operation to offset the price difference. Tama kaya computation ko?
