Nagbabalian mga electric stand fans namin dito dun sa part where the fan swivels (yung pinaka neck part). KDK brand na mga ito and not those China branded fans.

also we have in the house 3D, ok naman and yun Standard pinakamatagal ginamit kinalawang na ang blades ok pa din

I'm also in the market for a new fan. Loyal Panasonic & KDK din ako.

Pero I just saw a couple of electric fans that claim to have an IONIZER function.
Anyone here bought one of those models? Effective ba yung IONIZER feature niya?

Panasonic and KDK are very good.

As for the plastic used for the blades, I actually find the current "flexible" fan blades to be much more durable than the old "makunat" plastic on our older fans (brittle and easily broken). Metal blades are no doubt durable, but they're also very noisy and dangerous if there are little kids in the house - hence they're more suited for industrial applications. Not that there's any shortage on spare blades - yung bentilador ko dito pangatlong blade na niya ata ito heheh.

*ess: Ionizers are worthless. They just create harmful low-altitude ozone and do not do much in actually cleaning the air. A CRT TV screen attracting dust serves a better "ionizer".

Standard. Mine has been working for more than 15 years already. I had to retire it because the blades which were once pink are now white That's how durable it is! I bought the exact same model as replacement. Costs around P900 for the desk fan.

we have 2 3d box fans. the problem is that the gear that controls the grill gets broken and it just goes free spinning. otherwise it's a pretty good fan. national panasonic seems to be the best. is standard still available?

    Baka nasa gumagamit na iyan.

KDK is already a good brand (it should be because it's worth 2x the price of similar fans).

3D is also a good brand.

Maybe you need to use an industrial-type fan. The ones na no-frills ang hitsura. Cool Air, Mitsuboshi and Asahi ang natest ko sa ganitong brand (both for home and work). Wala pa naman nabalian ng leeg.

Halu-halo elct. fans namin. Merong 3D, KDK at Standard. Yung Standard ang pinakaluma, matibay.

Meron din kaming industrial fans, malakas talaga. Malakas din sa kuryente....... Nakatago na lang ngayon.

    3D Retro fan.

Have three of them. Bought it because the motor is huge compared to the size of the fan... most desk fans have bigger blades and smaller motors... and wear out really fast. The Retro has a big motor, and since it's mated to a small-diameter blade set, it's relatively unstressed.

Our oldest one was bought in 06. Used almost every day since then. Slightly slower than when it was new, but still very quick at full speed, and has needed nothing but occasional cleaning. Other fans we've bought have lost power or even ground to a stop in just a year or two. The Retro is almost as powerful and as durable as the 3D Industrial Turbo Fan (love those babies), but it looks nicer and the finer shroud grille (which is also very durable) and plastic blade-set make it safer and prettier looking.

Twice the price of the cheap fans... but worth it. Has lasted four years (and counting)... Fans we've bought for half-the cost only last a year each before needing a rewind or rebuild. Our air out here is very dusty, and we go through fans very quickly.

I have a Dowell, Union, and Asahi fans that seemed to have a stucked up shaft. All are stand fans. We had them all repaired. But what the repair shop told us (if its true), is they replaced the starter capacitors.

The Dowell and Asahi suffered the same stuck shaft, while the Union had its front plastic plate, where its grill is fastened to, cracked. We threw the Union as junk as I can't find the plastic plate.

I decided to DIY the 2 other fans, so see if I can get them working. The Dowell seems to respond well to my repair action, while the Asahi, was a tougher one to fix, jammed up the following morning. Good thing I woke up that morning to stop it.

I had a close call with another stand fan, can't recall the brand, which wasn't spinning, maybe around 3am. I switched it off, but it responded with a spark & a partial burn! Buti lang na-agapan ko!

I still have a 3 Hanabishi industrial fans, 2 floor types and a stand fan. Still heathly so far.

That was 30 years ago. Hanggang ngayon umaandar pa rin. :D
KDK ok din pati 3D. Never tried others, mahina yung kaha nung ibang brand.

Better to check the materials used and the overall workmanship.
