Errh... Agapito Flores' "invention" of the lamp is a myth... perpetuated by people who don't know any better. Flourescence was discovered a long time ago... before Flores was born. Even Edison toyed with the idea, but discarded it in flavor of the incandescent bulb.

Flores did advance the idea of using flourescents locally, but he wasn't among the several different inventors who advanced patents for commercially viable lamps at that time.

Another one of those stupid Pinoy myths. Edison had a working flourescent tube
long before Agapito Flores' parents were even born. Even Faraday did too.

Even the word ''flourescence'' was used by scientists in the 1850's.

I think generator is the greatest invention by Michael Faraday, dun nag umpisa lahat, wala sana aircon na gumagana ngayon, o kaya PC na naka-on o kaya kung anu-ano pa.
