Samsung really needs to improve their RAM/memory management, even the Note 5 with 4GB RAM struggles on multitasking compared to flagship phones with 3GB RAM (check YT comparisons). Buti ngayon mas light na daw ang UI nila.

Still hands down to Apple, malaki talaga difference pag ang OS tailored fit sa hardware. Wonder why Samsung can't do the same, may Exynos naman sila.

Really depends on each user, but you can always check GSMArena's or PhoneArena's standard battery life test. The Exynos variant lasts an hour longer than the Snapdragon on the average.

A lot better compared to the old note 4. I charged the previous night and I recharged the following night do about 24 hours. I am only using 1 sim with a 32G memory card on the 2nd tray.

My S5 has been randomly restarting recently. This was in Samsung Service 3 times in 2014 and finally replaced with a new unit last year. Still isn't the most reliable phone. Finally out of warranty, Samsung says it might be a hardware issue. The Samsung experience has been a big shiny balloon going pfffffffffft for me.

I will probably need another phone before year end. Still want something with Android, a Moto X preferably, but they don't have a local service center. Can anyone recommend a close to pure Android UI phone that'll be reliable? I prefer not to get any of the Chinese brands.

Xperia UI is close to stock Android, you can get a Z5 for a little over 20K, local or grey market unit. Meron din Nexus 6P if you want stock Android, though medyo overpriced, plus the build quality isn't that good.

Get a OnePlus 3 and root it with Cyanogenmod.

Sony Xperia series is also a good choice, fast OS, not much bloatware. Samsung is very notorious for having too much bloatware.

It easier to root smartphones now compared to years ago.

I had a raw Android before (Nexus 5), and it was awful for me. Layo sa iOS. I prefer TouchWiz, bloatware and all. I felt that the Nexus was just like my low end Cherry Mobile Flare before.

Thanks guys. How are the Sony phones durability-wise? The past ones I looked at were too blocky and a bit hard to hold for me but if they're built to last I'll probably consider them. My now antique Blackberry Bold will probably outlive this Samsung.

Was the Nexus 5 Kitkat or older when it came out? Not really complaining about Touchwiz UI functionality and general usability, I just have this nagging feeling it has something to do with all the bugs. Plus, it's 2016 and still no Marshmallow update locally for the S5. Updates are soooo slow to arrive.

It initially came with Lollipop but I upgraded it to Marshmallow. Same shiz, not user-friendly enough for me.

I recently replaced my tempered glass with Moxbii Metearmor, parang regular film pero hindi nababasag, 9H pencil hardness. Check niyo tests, doesn't shatter like ordinary tempered glass screen protectors plus sobrang nipis kaya parang walang nakalagay

Mahal din nang brand nato. Parang buong screen siya? Hindi ata pwede to sa s7 and note series ng samsung aangat din lalot gagamit ng case.

Ito nga pala set up ko.

Mas ***y s7 without a case pero hindi naman ako ganun kayaman para hindi magcase hehehe.

Look at my TG sobrang sagwa. Nakakasingit narin yung dumi sa gilid. Mukhang sayang 650 ko

My first SE phone lasted a decade! Sony Z2 of my brother going 3 years na this Dec. SOny has well built phones and fast UI nga.

I have a P9 Plus now, software isn'y as good as my LG G2 or G4. The G5 of my wife is doing pretty good also.

But I'd recommend nga Sony Z5. Mura na eh. You canalso check Asus phones, my son's Zenphone 5 performed great minus the low battery.

Since I got my first Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot phone, di na ako nag switch ng brand though I had an iPhone 4. I'm on my third Xperia already (ray, ZR, Z5), great build quality, very premium feel. Plus di ako nagkaproblema sa battery, I charge overnight everyday, til now walang problema. Yung ZR ko naman, launched with 4.1 Jellybean, ang last update niya 5.1 Lollipop na (that's almost 2 years of software support). Great cameras too, di ko talaga alam bakit iba ang results sa camera tests ng mga malalaking websites, pero pag independent tests ok naman ang camera ng Xperias lol

Ako naman mas preferred ko blocky design vs curvy, never goes out of style. Sabagay kanya kanya naman yan.

Nope, yung Metearmor for curved (even 2.5D) glass di kasama coverage, yung flat areas lang kaya kasi not as flexible as ordinary film protectors, but still 50% thinner than tempered glass. Matagal na din nagpapahanap sakin friend ko na may S7e, wala talaga ok kahit sa Youtube reviews.

Sige I'll take a look at the Z5 bro. It'll probably be between that, the current Moto X and the upcoming Moto Z. Alam mo naman ako, I always prefer the uncommon. Kaya nga maki Nissan.

For me kasi same with girls, mas maganda tingnan pag payat pero mas masarap hawakan yung curvy Mas nagagandahan din ako sa blocky design pero tumatanda na siguro ako, I prefer comfort and function over form these days.

So I returned my Note 7 yesterday after it lost cellular connectivity. Not supposed to discourage you guys from ordering one since Samsung is one of our big customers but I am so pissed off with the fact that a new product costing almost P40K is defective. There were 4 of us already having different issues.

Tsk.

My brother in law also has an issue with his S7 edge. Display splits into something that looks like vertical window blinds when he scrolls downward. He just got it a little over a month ago.

Looks like Samsung reliability is a big issue until now even for their flagships.
