What are the good PC games you've played?

Can you guys suggest some good PC games that i can install and play in my computer? I heard of Far Cry, Need For Speed, etc. If you have any good suggestions that are in the Play Station platform, but have versions for the PC, please mention them too.

I have seen Tekken(tama ba) being played today on the PSP, and it would be cool if i can have similar type of game on the PC. Parang mas ma-appeal sa akin yong ganun na suntukan na lang na game, kesa dun sa role playing. Hehe. Di kasi ako makaalis sa level 1 nung mga role playing e.

bihira lang beat em ups and fighting games sa PC. more on FPS, Strategy and Rpgs. you're better off playing on ps2 if fighting games hilig mo...

good games are Civilization3 and Civ3 Warlords, Far Cry, Prey, CnC Generals, Vampire Masquerade Bloodlines..some of these are mdyo old na..dami pa iba

Games from Blizzard like Diablo and Warcraft have nice graphics and relatively low system requirements.

Halflife is my all-time favorite FPS. Sadly I don't have a PC capable of playing Halflife 2.

Here are some things I found out trying to run games with the ATI Mobility X1200....... again, an Intel X3100 should do better

Using FRAPS to non-scientifically gauge framerate.....
24 fps would be fluid for any game. But, 15fps or better I consider playable for an RTS.

C&C: Generals - 800x600, medium detail, I get a consistent 15-20 fps


Battlefield 2 - 800x600, medium detail, I get a consistent 15 fps.
For a shooter, 15 fps is.....meh.

Battlefield 1942/Desert Combat - 800x600 32bpp, max detail, 23-24 fps


Rome: Total War - 800x600 16bpp, "Speed" setting, 18-20 fps



Older 2d games like Red Alert 2, Close Combat 2, and Civilization 3 all play smoothly. Close Combat 2 (A Bridge Too Far) I consider the best of the series. It came out in 1997 and I still play it.

Some things to consider:
1. All these games I play for singleplayer only.
2. I didn't really buy my laptop for games. So, playing older games are perfectly fine.

Oh yeah. I still play Quake 2 up to now too. Runs beautifully on my lappy.

I have more older games at home like Dungeon Keeper 2, Warcraft 3, and Homeworld 1. But, I'll have to wait til I get back to try them out.
