I want to give my wife a cellphone this x'mas, and she wanted a clam/flip type? ano bang best na clam type pone ngayon? a little backgrounder sa wife ko, she's 27, working on a OZ co., actually she heads one of the department? ano ba bagay sa kanya? she's using a nokia 66?? something basta yun colored na maliit. I already asked her about P900 and XDA, pero ayaw niya talaga dahil malaki daw.... paki indicate na lang yun model para pwede na magcanvass, thanks
Along with BlueBimmer's suggestion, I'd recommend a Samsung E600. It's a clam shell phone, cute ang size. My officemate bought one, and it impressed everyone in the office. Even my boss wanted to get rid of his P900 and get the Samsung instead.
Uni*** naman yung design ng E600, pero I think the rather curvy shape makes it more suitable for women.
maybe nokia 7200 is for her..anyhow, she heads a dept and it has features more for girls. the cover can be changed...the cover itself is like leatherette or felt type..she can change it depending on her outfit...IMO.
thanks for all the suggestions, anyways, I'm looking right now yun itsura ng mga models na sinabi niyo, papunta ako ng greenhills this saturday, okba bumili doon? I'm sure mas mura, meron ba kayo ma recommend na shop?
nokia 7200, definitely ayaw niya dahil sinabi na niya sa akin dati....wala bang lalabas na bago ang nokia sa january?
in terms of "clam type units", Samsung is the best and is the one known for that.
the phone's UI is simple too, average battery life and the features are quite ok. resale price is still high even if you use the phone for around a year.
but most of them either have no BT or have crippled IR.
what about Nokia 6260..nice features.its a flip phone..brand new design..if you have a postpaid line w/globe..u can get unit only for P20,000. Giving you the price so you can canvas around Greenhills. Oks naman to buy at Greenhills..i buy mine there..just be careful and inspect the phones very well. Here are some prices also for your own use
SE
K500i 13,550
K700i 19,050
P900 39,340
P910i 42,000
S700i 33950
Samsung
E700 18,400
E800* 23,000
V200 19,200
Panasonic
X400 12,000
X500 14,000
From the sound of it, you wife isn't really a techie (since she shunned the P900 & XDA) and an easy-to-use and stylish-yet-compact phone is what she needs.
The downside to the E700 is that it doesn't have IR & BT - though it comes with a USB cable for transferring / synching with your PC.
SE? Am really disappointed with SE when I got a T610 more than a year ago. The addresbook functionality is very limited as compared to Nokia's. I do hope that their better models have addressed this.
Ala bang mga 10K and below dyan na pwedeng i-credit card financing? Want to give my wife one din but of course, di pwede luho, hehe she's so not a techy, but I want her to have a phone na at least pwedeng store ng pictures ng anak namin, camera is not a must.
