Haha, mukhang sales talk lang yun. Maganda lang talaga dial nito kasi hindi flat, may wavy textures kaya siguro sinabi na parang ocean waves haha

well, iyong niece ko suot niya iyong dive watch ng lolo niya. i passed it on to her when my dad died. but it's not as big as that seiko and it's a 2 tone silver/gold watch on a bracelet kaya it's less "intimidiating".

she can probably change the strap to something light colored if she likes. a gray suede strap will make the golden hands and indices stand out ata .

having said that, i think girls can get away w/ anything nowadays.

    ... a bruce lee!

puede kung puede. it depends on her confidence and not ours.

i have seen rolex subs adorning a woman's wrist. i have nothing but envy...
apparently, the rules on men's watches on women's wrists, are extremely flexible, especially if the watch is a coveted piece.. or an heirloom of sorts.

personally, however... it seems too big for women.
did i say that? i once gave a girl a sea urchin, as it was the school alumni's fundraising activity.

i stumbled up on an SNXS77, and immediately grabbed it before is disappears, again.
Nice SNXS77! I'm trying to look for the SNX79 with the black dial.

    thank you, po!
    i'm also a'lookin' for the '79.
yes, there's ads in the internet for such, but it's more fun, seeing it on the display stand.
also, one wouldn't know the actual condition of said watches, sight unseen.
apparently, "brand new", "brand new condition", "like brand new" do not mean the same meaning to everyone...

The SNXS77 gives an impression that it is an expensive watch. No wonder it's being dubbed as Seiko's $100 Rolex killer

    historically,
these have been our school watch back in the 70s.
but it wasn't known as the rolex killer back then, because rolex warn't so famous yet.
and if anyone wanted a rolex then, one would simply go to the local rolex store and pay list price,
    unlike today...

I chanced upon the SNXS75 (grey dial) SNXS77 and SNXS79 at SM Makati yesterday. Pricetag at ₱8400 and can avail a 10%discount.

I restrained myself and walked away [emoji1787]

... in SM dept stores, watches dept?
    that's highway robbery.
it should be priced at less than 6K only.
but i notice, all their seiko 5s are priced higher than 6K, even as the traditional sta cruz-type stores price them lower.

i have seen SM price their watches in a somewhat erratic manner, from time to time.
sometimes, their prices are at par with the competition, other times they are higher, still other times they are lower.

    Speaking of Tudor...

I haven't seen the Tudor Pelagos 39 in person but, my god, it looks gorgeous on all the photos. I've always liked the special sheen a ti watch has: not quite steel, not quite aluminum. Being really light makes it desirable for me too.

I knew the original (and larger) Pelagos was not for an average asian wrist. This new 39mm version will be perfect, I think.

about wrist size, i'm to buy sana the Seiko 5 GMT during my lay over in Doha but the 42.5 mm dia case was just too big for me. maganda pa naman yung blue dial.
