Question lang sa mga taga - US at mga naka punta na sa US na nakagamit ng dial-up internet connection doon.
Dito sa Pilipinas RJ-11 cable (or telephone cable) ang gamit kapag i-co-connect ang modem port ng laptop sa telephone system or outlet. In short parehong RJ-11 connector ang kabilaang dulo ng cable.
Sa US, ano klaseng cable connector naman ang ikakabit mo sa telephone outlet nila? RJ-45 ba ?

kung 56k, RJ-11 pa din. Standardized naman ang cables na ginagamit sa 56k or for any other internet connections.

November 20th, 2004 07:27 AM #3but did you know that the new standard inside wiring for telephones or any other communications equipment is now RJ45 or what we call CAT5 Ethernet cable...pero palabas pa rin sa telephone outlet is RJ11...

I used the wrong terminology on my earlier post. I should have used the word 'connector' as opposed to cable when I said:
"Standardized naman ang connector na ginagamit sa 56k..."
Technically, there is no such thing as RJ45 cable, dahil ang RJ45/RJ11 refers to the connector nga pala.
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
