Question lang sa mga taga - US at mga naka punta na sa US na nakagamit ng dial-up internet connection doon.

RJ-45 ba ?

kung 56k, RJ-11 pa din. Standardized naman ang cables na ginagamit sa 56k or for any other internet connections.

but did you know that the new standard inside wiring for telephones or any other communications equipment is now RJ45 or what we call CAT5 Ethernet cable...pero palabas pa rin sa telephone outlet is RJ11...

Yeah, but he would still be able to use his laptop's 56k connection because of the RJ11 connector kahit cat6 pa ang cable basta RJ11 ang connector, hehehe.

I used the wrong terminology on my earlier post. I should have used the word 'connector' as opposed to cable when I said:

"Standardized naman ang connector na ginagamit sa 56k..."

Technically, there is no such thing as RJ45 cable, dahil ang RJ45/RJ11 refers to the connector nga pala.
