If I use straight-line wattage computation, the premium Daikin should only take 2.5 years to recover vs the entry Panasonic.

    (680W-540W) × 4 hrs per day × 30 days per month ÷ 1,000 W/KW × Php 12/Kwh = 2.5 years.

But sa computation ng Meralco app (Meralco Appliance Calculator), it's 6.8 years. Parang hindi kasi linear yung pagcompute niya ng pagbaba ng wattage vs actuan consumption.

Iniisip ko rin yung tibay since never pa ko nakaencounter ng negative feedback about Daikin. Panasonic so far generally good also but it seems Daikin pinakasolid. This is based on research not just here but in other forums as well.

My friend who manages a refinery also uses Daikin for all their mission critical equipment. Ang hirap lang though because puro anecdotal evidence lahat. One person's word vs another's. Walang long-term testing by 3rd parties. Maybe because mababa lang talaga failure rate ng aircon in general, in which case pinaka-ok yung pinakatipid based on consumption and acquisition cost combined.

Taas ng EER ng Daikin FTKV, but using Meralco's app to compute (wattage lang ang input) based on my usage, it'll take 6.5 years para mabawi yung cost vs. the entry-level Panasonic.

Was already inclined to get the Daikin FTKV until I computed for the very long payback period. Unless mali ang computation ng Meralco app?

With appliances & vital equipments, I'd always lean towards the proven reliable ones. Durability isn't listed in spec sheets Just my 2cents.

Pareho naman reliable ang Panasonic and Daikin ah. All our National appliances at home still work past 20 yrs. Daikin new lang sa PH so no personal experience.

Pero ayaw ko paayos na lang yun provision na butas to fit yun mga standard size na A/C now kung ano man magustuhan mong design?

Ako kasi no choicde yun nagpagawa ako ng bahay hinde ko talag pinaka yan ng a/c na butas for window type dahil isa pa sa pwedeng pasukin kaya nag split type ako.

Im impressed with daikin. 150w when it reaches temps. Lg can do 200w when it reaches temps. I think samsungs 8pole is between this two.

I would get the daikin easily.
