im not sure about lg but kolin source their compressor from panasonic. same with whirlpool. pag window type madali lang makita yung compressor pag galing panasonic.

been using panasonic brand from window to split type inverter for 10 years. they have the highest cooling capacity and lowest wattage rating thus highest EER among other brands ( same hp comparison)

I recently installed an LG Inverter V split type aircon 2HP, replacing my 1HP window type aircon that was underpowered to begin with. Grabe sarap ng lamig now. I sleep a lot better. Plus very quiet sya. So far ok na ok sya. I still have to see yun effect sa electric bill ko.

You could get your aircons very cheap at Sight and Sounds sa Shangrila. I don't know how the owner does it pero I get to save around 7k sa price versus mga popular appliance stores. At maasikaso pa sila.

Panasonic Inverter. I have 2 units installed. Initial investment is quite steep but it pays off in the long term. Matipid talaga sa kuryente. Used to have window type and my bills went as high as 7-8 thousand. Using panasonic, laki ibinaba ng bills, almost or even more than 50%.

seen idec at Ortigas home depot. Did not bother to take a look, i'm not familiar with the brand. Ask for some feedbacks before considering it.

Mura ang initial cost ng idec. Pero spare parts, kala mo branded ang price. We have 3 units, since 2005. Okay pa up to know except yung isa, maingay yung blower.

    OT:

I just would like to ask based on your own experienced and knowledge with regards to which is more efficient to install. A split-type aircon or a centralized aircon (chilled water)? This is for an approximately 3,000 sq. mtr. floor area. More efficient in terms of lower electricity consumption and maintenance cost on aircon. TIA.
