Hello,
Is solar panel a good investment for farms to provide electricity to all the facilities and houses of the workers?
To add, what do you think about maintenance?

Depends on your alternative options and how much power you need.
Solar energy systems would include:
-solar panel(s)
-storage batteries (deep cycle type is best)
-electronic power management system (basically the charger/inverter plus battery & charge monitor)
Maintenance would be:
-periodic cleaning of the panels
-checking of the battery water and refilling if needed.
Something like this would be adequate for general lighting (low wattage CFL & LED bulbs recommended) and low power electronic devices. Once you want to power on a home PC or modest size TV, you might need more capacity than this system would economically provide you.
You might also want to add wind turbine generators if your area gets a lot of constant wind throughout the day & night. A small diesel or LPG powered generator (LPG would be good if it is easy to purchase in your area) would be recommended for heavier electrical loads. It might be possible to tie everything into single system but the power management device can get expensive.
Anyway, just assuming the most basic setup which is the solar energy system, it might take a few years (like ten to fifteen) for it to pay for itself as compared to getting wired to the grid.
