As a balikbayan, I am clueless on what kind of internet segvice to get. We are moving into a condo sa Bonifacio Global City. Should I get DSL or cable for Internet?

    Thoughts? Experiences?

    Thanks.

PLDT DSL user too. They do attend to complaints. My brother uses Globe DSL, he claims has better latency for his gaming than PLDT. Also attends to complaints.

I was told that all DSL lines are owned by PLDT. So if you go with Globe, sa PLDT rin ang bagsak. Anyone else heard this?

How's the reliability? Gano kadalas ang downtime?

Overall, you would be better off with DSL.

Sus! We called the contact for PLDT dito sa condo and could not get through. Either busy line or disconnected or not in service. In her frustration, my gf subscribed to Sky Cable nalang. They answered on the first call and installed the following day.

We subscribed to a 3.0mbps plan and we sometimes get 2.0-2.5 on Speedtest.net. Other times we barely get 0.1mbps. It's so frustrating considering this costs us more than the cable Internet we had that was clocking 18.0-21.0 Mbps consistently.

Cable internet with 18-21 mbps is just a dream here in the Philippines...

Sarap naman nung 21.0Mbps kapag andito ka sa Pinas.

Madali lang i-load yung mga 20 minute videos. Hehe.

Ako pala naka-DSL. 1300php siya, bundled with landline. I get 0.7-0.8mbps.

Kung hindi bundled with landline, yung internet connection ko for the price would play around 1.2-1.3Mbps

Globe telecoms has DSL w/ wifi modem/router also with a steady latency. They have good aftersales.

Should I get cable or DSL? (Bonifacio Global City)
