I have a k700i Sony Ericsson. Lately, I just can't seem to send messages, but I can receive messages. I thought maybe it's my service provider, but, i tried Smart, and TM, and Sun, and they all can't send messages. I'm using Globe as my primary. What could be the problem? And how much do you think I'd have to spend on fixing the problem? I have a full signal, but even with that, i can't send messages. It takes maybe 15 attempts before a message sends.

    A bit of history
Last yr around this time, I dropped my cell phone in the toilet accidentally. I turned it off immediately, opened it up, and let it dry out for about 3 days before trying it again. WOrked perfect. Could this be the reason why my phone..just now is doing this?

How much would this take to fix? Is my phone now just a digital camera and music player? Any ideas on what I can do?...if there's anything i can do? Thanx!

My wife own's an SE K700i. AFAIK, walang kinalaman pag puno na yung inbox to sending messages. Tamad kasi sya in deleting messages, and even if pina-prompt na sya to delete messages sa inbox, she can still sucessfully send (and receive, for that matter) messages.

OP: Try to check the number in the Message Center (or its equivalent sa SE. Sa Nokia kasi Message Center ang tawag dun eh). Pag mali yung number dun, you can't send messages. Ask Globe's Customer Service about this no. HTH

yung message center number is stored in the sim, afaik. so everytime you change the sim to another telco, automatic ng magpapalit yung message center number to that of the sim's telco.

When I put my Smart SIM from another Nokia phone (6260) to my new Nokia N73, nawala yung number dun sa Message Center. Kaya hindi ako nakaka-send ng messages. Both phones are locked sa Smart. I had to call pa Smart's hotline to know the number

sir, baka aksidente naiipit yung # key.

actually, i always do this to my nokia phone when at home and pinaglalaruan ng kids yung phone ko. Setting to LINE 2 disables the OUTGOING (no calls can be made, no SMS can be sent) but with INCOMING (calls, sms). You can switch between Line 1 and Line 2 by pressing # for about 2 seconds.

hehehe, clear nman ako sa inbox n outbox. may load. Kasi, minsan, it takes forever and a day to send a message..it will say: Sending..... sending....sending...... Failed. My signal shows that there's 100% connection, there's load, my inbox and outbox are free of messages. It just started when I woke up yesterday.

Also, charging now takes a long time to charge..unlike before. It takes maybe 6hrs to fully charge. And sometimes it doesn't wanna charge, so I'm stuck using a 3310 haha. I'll probably take it to a "cell phone mechanic" to have it looked at. I'm just wondering what could be the problem, so I have an idea before I go.
