Anyone uses IP cameras here to monitor their house, dog, kids, garage, or just in general - their properties?
I use a few Foscam cameras which talks to my wifi routers and I have an app on my iPhone to monitor them. I can control pan and tilt, I can listen any conversation and even talk from my iPhone to scare potential thieves. I also set it up so it will email me if it detects motion. Only thing missing that I wish it had is optical zoom - but I can't complain since they are pretty reasonable.

SRGuy, I bought it from Amazon.com. I never had to call support since the setup is about the same as setting up a home router.
For warranty support - Amazon is great for that but I haven't had any issue since I purchased it more than a year ago.

me! using it for around 3yrs

    -10 china(as usual copycats)
    looks like this

    - 3 CDRKings (2 Diff Models)

    -6 ipcams *home
    -5 ipcams *office

Using IPCam Viewer Pro(paid app) for both ios & android.

-3 cams configured for motion detect 12am-430am and emails me the screen capture

-1 cheap android tablet for 24/7 recording (10cams:8Gb MicroSD:Roughly 24hrs capture per cam)

IPCams with zoom options are costly pa. Hehe.

    * ok sana kasi me SDCard na & HD/720p kuno, BUT not sure if i got 2 lemon units
    1. one seems to lost its config whenever there's power outage
    2. the other one seems to lost DDNS broadcast once inawhile

and because it's CDRKing - i paid in peanuts, i got monkeys and so beggars can't be choosy.

yun isa naman i can't find it na sa website nila (obsolete na ata) but so far stable naman sya.

kelangan me DDNS acct ka or similar para ma-access mo outside your home/office network.

Afaik 7-15k are the basic (4 cams). You can check it na sa suking mall hardwares. Ace, Handyman, Truevalue. CDRKing meron na din.

But this is diff from the topic. IPCAMs work independently. ;)
