matagal ko ng gustong magkabit ng water softener system dahil masyadong hard water ang supply dito sa amin galing sa lokal na water district. hassle sa pag maintain due to scaling is too much sa mga fixtures at clogging sa mga shower heads namin.
sino po dito ang meron ganito sa kanilang bahay? please recommend a good brand. my budget is around 50k only. pwede ko ng i-DIY ito.

Almost 10 yrs na akong naka filter with softner sa bahay, sinabay ko during our house renovation.
During that time almost 100K nagastos ko. But I believe doable na ang 50K now.
Kung naka nawasa ka, you need to have a cistern tank and a pressure tank system, specially if more than 1 storey ang bahay mo para mataas pa ang water pressure after the series of filters.
And then you can install another compact water purification system under your kitchen sink para sa drinking water nyo, para hindi ka na bibili ng tubig pang inom.
In the almost 10yrs that I had the filtration system, never pa nasira. Basta naka set ng tama yung cleaning ng filters. Also, every 2-3 yrs palit din mga filter materials and resins for the softener.Signature

WaterBoss. Still American-made to this day. Compact w/ built-in self cleaning filter & uber efficient w/ way lower backwash salt consumption & waste water. Good local presence & parts support.

Easy DIY, really. You'll need a drain close for the hose to feed the backwash waste. Do a softener bypass to have the option of direct feed in the cases when it may need servicing.

*travs ... can you recommend a water filter / softener that can be installed outdoors from the mains just before going into the house ... one that doesn't need electricity ...
Investing in a steering wheel lock might be a temporary, stopgap measure until you get the locks...
