    I do not know if other subscribers are experiencing the same but I really hate my SMART Wifi connection. The first 2 months na naka 128kbps ako, OK naman yung connection no problems. Pero nung nagpa-upgrade na ako to 256 kbps DAMN!!!! Ni hindi ko ma-enjoy ung upgrade! I called SMART several times and they told me na gagawin na nilang 384kbps yung connection kaya daw may konting technical slowdown na mae-encounter due to upgrade. Pero SYET!!! After a month wala pa ring pagbabago as in wala akong connection. AANHIN KO NAMAN YUNG 384KBPS KUNG DI KO RIN MAGAMIT TAPOS BABAYD KA PA RIN KAHIT WALANG SERVICE!!! Napagalitan ko pa nga yung tech support nila kasi ang daming palusot!!! Nung sinabi ko na na di ko MA-PING yung GATEWAY nila, tumino sya at nagsabi na ifo-forward yung reklamo ko sa ewan kung saan!!!????!!! Ni wala man lang silang ipinadala ng Tech para i-check sa bahay yung module ko.

    Tatawag na naman ako ngayon and If I recieve the same response from SMART then sorry na lang. I will write a letter to cut the connection! I should have not availed the SMART Wifi Promo. Iba na lang sana kinuha ko KAKA-BWISIT . Nasa huli talaga ang pagsisisi.

    Ang pinagtataka ko bakit yung PLDT WeRoam ko which uses SMART/EDGE/GPRS ok naman sa bahay (Imus, Cavite) kahit na 220 kbps DAW eh napagtya-tyagaan. Kaya lang sobrang BAGAL. Sheeeeeeesh!!!!

    yung sa wifi, baka kokonti yung Wireless points na nakakabit sa area nyo.
    yung sa WeRoam, since it uses GPRS, sure ako na maraming cell sites (lalo na smart), so talagang magiging mas reliable yan.

    yun nga lang, talagang mabagal ang data transfer sa WeRoam compared to WiFi, pero, if i were you, i will convert that to a DSL line. i think it costs around 900+++ lang... mas reliable yan dahil permanent connection yan.

    naku, hwag naman sanang mangyari sa akin yan. pinadisconnect ko yung PLDT DSL ko dati dahil palaging disconnected ako, lumipat ako sa smartwifi kahit mas mabagal (768kbps ako sa PLDT DSL, tapos 256kbps sa smart, pero upgraded to 384kbps na ako now). kung magkaproblema ako ulit sa smart, wala na akong ibang paglilipatan!

    Sir Happy Gilmore, nung naka 128kbps po ako walang problema yung connection ko unless umulan ng malakas dun nawawala yung connection. Nag-start yung prob ko nung nagpa-upgrade na ako to 256kbps. Wala po kasi akong PLDT Line kaya di ako makapag-DSL.

    SMART Wifi di kelangan ng multiple wireless points kasi LOS (Line-of-sight) sya. Iisa lang ang direction kung saan naka-point yung module(parang antenna). Sana man lang magpadala na sila ng Tech para ibahin na lang yung orientation nung module. Pero wala talaga ang bagal ng tech support ng SMART. Kahit naka-ilang beses na akong tumawag sa kanila

    ako i'm experiencing some technical problems with my wireless connection. cannot connect really. tried calling up the tech support services, but to no avail.

    may discussion nang ganito sa EBNC yata...

    mas ok pa talaga ang traditional DSL... as with any new products... mahirap maging guinea pig.

    marami rn palang nag-ka problema sa communication! ako 'yung PLDT line ko naputol ang linya,updated naman ang bayad namin,tapos yung SMART nang mga anak ko eh,mako-kontak mo pero hindi ka maka send ng SMS,buwitsit kung kailan kailangan mong gamitin at tawagan dahil kapaskuhan eh nag kadeperensiya,buti nalang at mayroon rin kaming GLOBE LINE, laking palpak talaga nang PLDT at SMART....

    Me three... kagabi pa ko d makaconnect sa internet (SMART WiFi) pagkabalik ko galing bakasyon hanggang kanina umaga patay ata DHCP server nila or something... APIPA lang nakukuha kong IP... naeexperience nyo ba toh ngyon? To all smart wifi subscribers???

    i inquired about smart wi-fi over the weekend... kailangan kasi namin ng reliable internet connection in our factory in bulacan... eh hindi pa abot ng PLDT yung area namin (and i think wala ata silang planong abutin ang area namin.. )... we have DIGITEL sa area namin but hindi ganong ka-reliable yung voice lines... usually around 2 - 4 or 5 pm ng hapon eh clogged yung lines nila...

    here comes DIGITEL offering DSL na... ang dami nilang plan.. iba ibang speeds.. but zero bits guaranteed connection .. mas mabagal pa sa dial up.. and when i asked them how much ang pre-termination charge nila.. ang sabi eh kung ilang months ang hindi nagamit out of the original period lock-in...

    ganyan din sa smart wi-fi...

    labo no? the reason you want to pre-terminate is due to their bad service, and yet they make you pay so much for pre-terminating their services, which in the first place should've been their job instead...

    Tama ka pangit yung serbisyo nila pati customer service. Sabi nila ngayong taon na ito magupgade yang Meridian. hindi ba pinalitan ung antena mo ng canopy type?

    May lock-in period yung Smart pero pwede natin mag sumite ng reklamo sa National Telecommunications Commissio (NTC) http://www.ntc.gov.ph/ at sa Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) http://www.dti.gov.ph/contentment/37/index.jsp.

    This is not good to hear. I applied for a PLDT DSL here in Las Pinas and they told me that there are no available port at the moment. They are suggesting that I apply for a wireless DSL. At first, I thought that this was Smart WIFI (na hindi tutuong WIFI) but they said that wireless DSL uses different servers. My guess is that they are using the same infrastructure.

    Initially, I wanted to apply for Globe DSL but this is not available in Las Pinas kaya nag apply ako sa PLDT. I am also wondering if it is wise to try Bayantel DSL. They are still checking out if they can install in my area. Lower ang speed nila, only 256K at around P900 but I think this might be practical also.

    I am putting my decision on hold because PLDT was supposed to have a promo announced yesterday. I will check the newspapers later to see what this promo is.

    But based on your replies, I am having doubts if I should apply for either Smart WIFI or PLDT's wireless DSL.

    Any tsikoteers with DSL in the Las Pinas area? How is your experience?

    I'm from Las Pinas............Smart wi-fi ang naka-install sa amin....OK naman ang speed at wla pang problema since installation 2 weeks back. I already installed a DSL router for other computer access within the haus. They installed a 10 feet canopy type antenna nga pala.

    Hay naku iba naman ang problema ng Smart wifi ko. Naging ok na yung connection pero sa daytime lang. Pag gabi yun down na. I monitored it last week at weekend and guess what???? every 7PM en punto sya nagda-down (nakakaduda)!!!! KAINIS!!!! i already called smart support and they told me to write an email sa support ng meridian. langya pasahan blues na ito!!!!

    kung may dsl dyan sa inyo sana nag-dsl ka na lang kahit nde PLDT. wifi is a new technology, kumbaga sa D4d, guinea pig talaga kalalabasan mo.

    ... Sorry mga peeps, gusto ko sanang mag enquire kung okei na connections nyo sa smart. i'm thinking kasi having one sa prov namin para libre na at unlimited ang tawag ko sa parents sa pinas. Nga pala, magkano yong installation fee or initial na babayaran mo pag papakabit ka nito. Ilang buwan pala yong lock in. Thanks.
