They have always made slim versions before but I think in this generation since talo sila sa Xbox 360 they had to release it much earlier in the PS3's lifespan.

So magkano naman kaya ito? Bibili pa naman sana ako. and now may lalabas na bago. Yung XBox ng mga kids ko.....Jurrasic na!
Magiging mura na siguro yung bulky na PS3, or ipi-phase out na nila ito?

Probably-fake video of the PS3 slim surfaces
posted Jul 12th 2009
We're pretty much assuming this video of a purportedly "stolen" PS3 slim at a street market in the Philippines is fake, but given the mounting pile of evidence and Sony's other recent leaks, we feel compelled to share it with you. Nothing particularly amazing here -- it's a blurry video of a black plastic box with that new rounded-off logo style from the PSPgo on it -- but if it's real it's certainly interesting. So, what say you -- KIRF, or the real deal?
Update: So this video was originally posted in the PS3 News forums, along with the nicer high-res pic above, which pretty much matches the box art we've seen. Anyone changing their minds?
From the video's author "TheLastDestroyer":
"I'm sorry the video is very short and very low quality, but my phone is ancient and the memory is very low, but i hope you believe me when i say this is in no way a fabrication.
I found the PS3 slim at an underground market in the Philippines. They were selling it for roughly 250 pounds (converted from 20,000 PHP) with a Dualshock 3. More details at the website."

August 19th, 2009 04:08 PM #10Yeah looks cheap, not as slick as the normal PS3.
However, it does boast a reduction in electricity of 34%....
I read the normal 80GB ones will cost $299 (?)
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
