kahit last known configuration or sa safe mode eh ayaw pa din.

now, another problem is sira yung CD drive ng laptop. what i have is a DVD writer connected sa USB port. kung reinstall kung yung XP (or repair lang), kaya ba iread thru USB connected optical device?

Di kaya iread thru USB yung CD eh. Tried it a few months back kasi ganon nangyari sa akin. Tanggalin mo yung hard disk then put it in a portable hard disk enclosure tapos iformat mo using another computer. Just my 2 cents.

i cannot just reformat the disk because i have files that i have no back up ( me :D)

nway, what i did was sacrifice one partition (it has 2: D and D) and install XP there in hope of accessing the files in C. i can access the files of all the users except mine. it says access denied.

i tried repairing the windows xp but it keeps encountering a fatal error (error 426).

now what i'm thinking is to slave my laptop's hard drive and copy my files before a clean install XP again.

if slaving a hard drive easy? or should i have someone do it for me?

first of all, C and D pala yung 2 partitions.

i was able to access the supposedly inaccessible files. after i back up all of that, will do a clean install of windows xp.

it was just unfortunate i have to lose some files when i installed another OS in D:\

it has my undergrad thesis files and me baby's videos. buti na lang meron pa kami nung mini DV nung video. will tell wifey na wag na ireuse ung mini DVs.

Ouch! Pareho rin nangyari sa atin. Ganon din. Siguro kailangan mo nang palitan yung hard disk mo ng bago baka kasi may problema na yan at baka maulit uli. Gawin mo na lang backup yang lumang hard disk. Mahirap na, baka maulit (natrauma na ko dyan eh, nawala lahat pati mga reports and notes ko).


Regarding sa slaving ng hard disk, medyo mahirap iexplain eh. Patulong tayo sa ibang tsikoteers na kayang iexplain.
